Everyone from registering to recovery to day of discharge were so informative and friendly. Even in the hallways someone asked if they could help me when I look lost. My husband had surgery and I was kept informed of his progress during surgery. The hospital staff made sure they told us what they were giving him and why. I was able to stay overnights with him.

The entire staff, from pre-registration to discharge, was courteous and professional! My surgical experience and post-operative care were second to none. Every staff member treated me like I was the only patient in the hospital. I was kept informed of my care every step of the way. I highly recommend the competent and caring staff of Fort Walton Beach Medical Center!

An excellent facility and staff! However, as usual, I was required to wait a good while past the time of my appointment before I was seen. This delay is not unique to the FWB Medical Center. My visit was for an MRI. Usually when I'm not seen within a few minutes of my scheduled time I'm told that some emergency or some unexpected complication with an earlier patient had caused it. It seems unlikely that this was the case on this visit. I wish that medical staff, physicians, technicians, nurses, aides, etc., valued my own time as much as they do their own.

People were very nice! Unfortunately, that’s all that was nice. I was admitted for emergency surgery and over the period of 5 days there were 2 LARGE roaches in my room! Talk about unsanitary. Also, the lights over my bed did not work - so I either had the overhead lights on that blinded me or had the room completely dark. Finally, the room I was in was so very small and yet there were several rooms on the same floor that were much bigger (and those lights probably worked). The staff is wonderful but the facility itself is gross and is in desperate need of repair.

Everyone I came in contact was very patient oriented. Personable but professional and caring. I was very impressed with the technicians involved with the lab, the cath lab, and diagnostic imaging. My experience with the outpatient check in was also very positive.
