Employees (mainly nurses) parked in Patient parking. One of which parked so close to my car, I backed out and moved 3 spaces down while calling my dad telling him my mom was in surgery. I sat in my car for 20 minutes and counted a total of 5 doing this. The waiting room was so dirty I couldn't believe it. It is obvious no one mops or sweeps under chairs. The pile of grime confirmed that. I was there for 3 hours and no body came to sweep the floors in the waiting area or empty the trash cans. Garbage cans were full in outpatient care and this was at 7:28 this morning. The nurses also forgot to apply pressure to my where moms iv was and she was sitting in a puddle of blood from it. The nurses were kind of rude as I have experienced before. I am embarrassed for this to even be a hospital. I thought it was just a fluke when my dad was there for his hip replacement last year...nope definitely not a fluke. I've talked to other people, read reviews, and confirmed with my own experiences how terrible this place is. Avoid this place. You're better off getting treatment at your nearest elementary school nurse.

I only gave one star for the agency nurses who cared for my husband. They were the only ones apparently doing their jobs. He is a utilities worker helping to restore power after Hurricane Michael
who became ill in Panama City. Was transferred to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with a diagnosis of small bowel blockage. Was accepted there as a patient even though they knew they had no beds available. Lay in the Er then in the express Er area for 2 and 1/2 days and Never saw a doctor. We were told no one put in an order for a consult after asking a couple dozen times in those 2 1/2 days. Was discharged still having seem no MD. Traveled to our home state
of Louisiana straight to another hospital where he was immediately admitted. Worst hospital I’ve ever encountered! Can’t wait to fight over that bill!!!!

Two of the primary nurses who helped me after my sons delivery were incredibly rude and short with me without cause. Based on multiple experiences at this hospital, I would recommend avoiding this hospital like the plague. Go to Sacred Heart or Baptist instead if at all possible.

Wonderful facility, wonderful treatment, wonderful staff!!
I took my husband to the ER on a Thursday afternoon with chest pain, he had a previous diagnosis of heart disease. The staff rushed him right back to a room and immediately began working on him, Dr. Spencer was extremely through and kind and took his time explaining everything in detail before the tests are done. If it wasn't for his thoroughness my husband may not be here any longer. They ended up admitting him ... two weeks later he was able to go home. The care and treatment were top notch from the beginning to the end. The nurses were amazing, I can't say enough about the treatment that my husband received.

They sent me home when I was going through renal failure only to return 3 days later and the doctor told me it was time to call in the family and the Chaplin. I was going to die. I survived. That's why they get 3 stars. Never got my cardiac diet straight so I had to order what I knew to be right and count my sodium myself. Never got meds on time. I had to write it down and remind them. Still would be late. My nurse was the best. She saved me. She honestly knew her stuff. She was a traveling nurse. Go figure. After all said and done..I play hell getting them to release my records to all my specialist. Double edged sword. I lived. They suck.
