Great experience here when my mom had emergency bi-pass surgery. Her ICU team post-op were incredible, made sure she was comfortable, kept us updated on her recovery and what to expect. The PT team was caring and listened to my mom in what she felt she could and couldn't do. She was transferred to the heart hospital after ICU and her ICU team called to let us know where she would be in the morning. The heart hospital team was also so incredible, kind and caring.
This place is terrible, if you can deal with your injury at home, or even on the street you’re probably better off. The staff is rude and seems like they got their med licenses from a Cracker Jack box. I was recently admitted with a dislocated ankle and a break in 3 places. The staff blew out a vein and left me covered in bruises “trying” to draw blood. While I was scheduled for surgery at 2pm they never took me to the ER until 7pm where I waited. Urinated to prove I was not pregnant. One of the nurses came and dumped it so had to give blood work. When I asked why they couldn’t use any they took from me 3 times that day the nurse informed me THEY COULD NOT FIND IT. Needless to say an already horrible experience was made 100 times worse by poorly trained and unmotivated staff. Safe yourself the headache and go to South Wilkes-Barre Geisinger
Excellent staff from clerks to nurses to Doctors, caring and considerate. Good clean facilities, good "ambiance" if that matters. All overshadowed by the wait times for everything. At least 3 times as long as expected every.single.time. bare minimum. exploding out both ends for hours in the ER? Still gonna wait 3 hours for a doctor, if your lucky. Probably understaffed and also the amount of people who come in lying about strokes and other issues to get ahead in line must make it hard to tell who's lying and who's not and that ruins it for everyone. So patient's are as much to blame I suppose.
Everyone from the Doctors to the nurses to the cafeteria workers treated my family with kindness and respect. They provided 1st rate care and worked diligently to ensure the comfort of my family member.
It is normal to experience frustration and anxiety especially when a loved one is in need of care. It is normal to feel that it takes forever to get help...Folks it is better here than almost anywhere else I have been
Geisingers doctors are VERY UNEDUCATED when it comes to alternative treatments. Don't tell me side effects of something that doesn't even EXIST! ATTENTION: Geisinger Doctors there is this great thing called the CDC who updates treatments and side effects yearly and guess what there are no correlating side effects listed. So I'm sure the hospital pays for your Yearly REQUIRED continuing education SO utilize it so you can actually treat your patients properly; instead your doctors just make themselves look stupid stating facts that are fiction!!
Treat your patients not your damn pockets!! You claim you CARE for patients so I think all your doctors need to look up CARE in the dictionary because they have no clue what that means.
