feedback about Gordon Hospital
A Christian-based hospital, Gordon sets a unique standard with higher efficiency with a warm, family friendly atmosphere. It makes for a nice setting to work and to be a patient.
I love this hospital and will return again soon. Also great for traveling health care professionals.
I was taken to the emergency room last year. I was very confused and my husband thought I might be having a stroke. The hospital accepted the payment from my insurance company, but the emergency room physicians did not. The insurance wrote an appeal letter to the physicians and I never heard anything for 8 months. Last week I got 2 letters from a law firm in Atlanta wanting payment. I think if the hospital accepts what the insurance pays, any doctors that work in the hospital should accept what the insurance pays. When you are in the emergency room you can't pick and choose who your doctors are. I have contacted the hospital for help with this bill. I will update my review when or if I get a response.
The employees here, no matter who or what they do, couldn't be be more helpful. I realize in the past there were ill words about them, but with what I have seen and heard since moving here in 2000, there is no hospital in NW Georgia that can hold a candle to them. Their standing and awards in the region and state are top notch. Myself and my mother and my girlfriend have all used this hospital for many problems. They have have a number of satellite facilities, such as an office building full of specialty doctors, a handful of small doctors offices they made arrangements with, and near the hospital is an urgent care facility and a state of art cancer center. The Adventists are certainly emulating Jesus in all they do.
I went into Gordon’s Emergency department with pain from a 10mm kidney stone. I had never been take ln back and cared for in such a timely manner by any hospital. I suffer from severe anxiety and on top of it, the pain was basically making me hyperventilate. The nurse downstairs acted so quick on it. I had a reaction to one of the medicines and he sat there until I felt better. No one on this planet could’ve known that would happen, but how he responded meant the world. I never wondered one time about my plan of care. I was in the “know of everything.” I was Kept overnight and the little girl upstairs who was my nurse, may have been the nicest person that I had ever met before. As was the nurse that followed her. I had surgery the morning after admission and it went so smooth. I was very worried about going under anesthesia and Terri from the OR basically talked me down and assured me that everything was going to be okay. The anesthesiologists were amazing, they even administered something for my anxiety prior to the anesthesia. Dr Lee was amazing as well. He kept my family involved in every aspect of the procedure. The nurses made sure that my fiancé was comfortable and had food and I just can’t say thank you enough for making us feel like we mattered. I’m from Crandall, GA which is right on the TN line, but I won’t go to a different hospital. This place was amazing and I will forever be grateful for their service.
The cleanest and best hospital i have EVER walked into. My wife delivered our second child here and the staff was AMAZING. i really cant stress that enough. I have been to many hospitals in my life and i will for sure drive the distance to make it here. I live 40 miles away and it was worth the drive for sure. If i could give 100 stars that wouldnt be enough.
