I was admitted to the Grand River ICU with severe sepsis in mid June. I was extremely grateful for the life saving treatment I was receiving until a small patch of necrotic flesh appeared on my upper thigh. I alerted my nurses, who in turn notified my physicians. Dr. Caputo was called in to look at it. After only a glance he scheduled a biopsy for the following Friday, and left. Friday was a full five days after I found the original necrosis. The biopsy resulted in three sections of dead flesh and an emergency transfer to St. Mary's in Junction. When all was said and done the fine surgeon's at St. Mary's in Junction had to remove a patch of flesh from the top of my thigh that was 4 inches long, nearly 15 inches wide and almost 4 inches deep. I spent a month hospitalized and will spend the next few months with a large painful wound on my leg that requires constant care. The neglect I experienced at the hands of Grand River's doctors nearly cost me my life. The necrotic flesh was just above the lymph nodes and artery in the thigh/groin area. The thought of what could have happened terrifies me. The fact that this happened at all sickens me. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTIONS, TAKE THEM! Since my discharge, I have heard more horror stories then I can believe. This hospital is just as likely to kill you as it is to cure you.

I went to the ER for fainting, they completely disregarded anything I had to say, practically ignored me, in fact. Disregarded my anemia when it was a main factor in my being there, and sent me out with a nice cold cup of apple juice.
The staff at this hospital is completely complacent and simply tries to move patients through as quickly as possible.
You could tell from the beginning to the end they never cared.
I recommend if you’re in the area and you need an ER you go to Glenwood or Grand Junction. You will do nothing but waste your time and money here.

I can't even remember like login information, I don't want to log in to apply for jobs its so much of a waste of time. I have to have all these login's to apply for different jobs I can't remember anything like this stuff, its so much easier to just send a resume in, then have a login for things I apply for...

If I could give them less than a 1 I would have. I grew up in Rifle, taken my kids there, aswell as myself, even worked for this company along with family members. This is probably the worst health care anyone could have, not too mention health care is extremely expensive but these doctors here are worthless! If you need true health care, I would suggest Grand Junction, Primary Care Partners or Valley View in Glenwood Springs. If you must come here Tammie Herbender or Jim have more knowledge than the arrogant Doctors they have...sould you feel uncomfortable, I sugguest you seek a second opion and do not hesitate to do so.
