feedback about Gulf Breeze Hospital
none of us like being in the hospital that’s for certain.
My elderly father and elderly mother have here for more than one overnight stay.
We have been quite impressed and pleased with the level of care and the sincerity of the staff in intensive care unit on the second floor.
The emergency room staff have been responsive to our needs prior to admission. It is much appreciated.
If I could give 0 stars I would.. I have never in my life felt so disrespected!! My nurse was super freaking rude.. and no one explained to me what was going on my discharge papers where tossed and I signed a paper and was sent on my way... I got into a car accident and I don’t feel me or anyone regardless what happened to them should be treated the way I was today.. I will from here on out if ever have an emergency will go to ft.walton hospital.. I will never return here ever.. usually the staff is extremely pleasant.. I understand nurses go through a lot, I get it I get your job is stressful and my lame accident isn’t what you might want to deal with.. but to laugh at me and basically blow me off and treat me the way she did is unacceptable.. I even wished her a happy Mother’s day and she laughed at me when I said happy Mother’s day... lol what a shame!!!
Both of my parents have had major surgery here. Both had wonderful experiences during their stay. The nurses were prompt, attentive and caring. The physical therapists were equally fantastic.
This is hospital is so slow now . We have been here for almost 3 hours for a xray of her foot. No nurse came back or Dr. either yet. Never again
Staff is nice, but STAY AWAY FROM “SHAY”. Let’s just say there are some CHOICE WORDS I could use to describe her, but I’ll keep this G rated. No compassion. No bedside manner. Fake smile until I started asking questions, then she showed her true self. She’s not even a doctor, not even a PA, only a nurse practitioner! Nurse practitioners should really not even be working in the ER! Only exception would be to treat something not so serious like a suspected stomach bug, cold, flu, or sprained ankle. They should not be evaluating patients with serious and/or complicated issues that are over their head. Practice empathy & learn some genuine bedside manner, Shay! Then, go back to primary or urgent care where things are more on your level of education & comprehension! 🤬
