My daughter took my grandson there for an ear infectiom, he was seen, BUT not given anything just for his pain for the night. After my daughter was given prescription, they were dismissed
My daughter told me she felt like a failure. She's not. She's without a car, and had to ride her bike there late at night so she can get medical care for her son. The staff at the emergency failed her. The staff was cold and has the matter of fact attitude, and started to make excuses that it's a small hospital that they can't accommodate him even for a nights medication. I find that appalling. These people have NO business being in the medical field because being in the medical field requires compassion, empathy, and kindness . NONE of who h my daughter and grandson received last night.

My husband had to go to the ER last night and it was not a good experience. Normally we go to Sacred Heart, but we now live in Gulf Breeze so thought it would be more convenient and he was in a lot of pain. I can understand having to wait for a couple of hours in the waiting room, but not once you get taken back to a room. We waited for 45 minutes in that room before we saw anyone. I am sure one of the individuals that we saw was a doctor but am only guessing as no one identified themselves as being the doctor. They did quickly identify the problem and provided treatment, but did not warn him what to expect when he got back home. The icing on the cake is that they forgot to take out his IV, so he had to do that himself at home. Baptist Hospital prides themselves on the "Baptist experience." Our experience is that we will drive right past them and go to Sacred Heart, where we have always received excellent care.

This hospital is terrible. Not only do they have no compassion or care for their patients, the doctors don’t care about any condition that you may have. I had the very bad luck of meeting Dr. Patroni, and not only is his bedside manner horrible, all he cares about is the legal aspect of getting caught as a fraud

I just spent an hour and a half in the waiting room of the emergency room. There was 2 people ahead of me when I arrived, with a sever infection and in unbearable pain. they called one of the people who came in before me, then quite some time later called a couple that had come in after me! I go up and left. and I will never ever go back to that ER again! My pain level is still off the charts and now I have to wait 24 more hours until I can get in to see my pcp. Totally unprofessional hospital
