I was in your hospital Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday I had so much service I could not rest. Saturday the lights went out in the bathroom. A guy told my roommate it probably wouldn't get fixed as their wasn't any maintenance on the weekend. I was on the phone with my daughter telling her to bring me a flashlight. The head nurse asked me why I needed a flashlight. I told her the lights were out in the bathroom. She said 'You won't need that flashlight, it will be fixed as soon as I can call maintenance. And it was. Loved the idea that they called me before each meal and let me decide what I wanted....well...every day but Sunday! Sunday was NOT a good day except I got to go home. Had very few people coming into my room. I had to ask for help for my new roommate who could not talk. Service was NOT good at ALL! I would not recommend a stay at your hospital on Sundays! Otherwise everyone was very nice, and helpful.

My experience at Gulf Coast was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I waited in the waiting room, with pneumonia, for nearly 7 hours, only to be transferred to the ER hallway for the next 24 hours. I assure you, I did not shut my eyes the entire time I was there. I could write a book on those 24 hours. Having said all of this, it is important for you to know how I really feel about Gulf Coast. I do understand that Gulf Coast has taken on a tremendous responsibility through no fault of their own. It is not the Hospitals fault that they don’t have enough beds. They serving all of Bay County with little assistance from Bay. Again, not Bay’s fault. I also want to mention the kindness, professionalism and care from the staff. They were great. My experience was both bad and good. I will definitely continue to support my hospital. Thank you for being there under such adverse conditions.

The staff were above reproach and extremely tentative to my health issues. I went in for a SI Joint Fusion, which can be a simple procedure. I have a heart condition with causes me to have a very low EF rate (By low I mean nearly non life supporting low). The head Anesthesiologist conferred with my Cardiologist on speaker phone in front of me to double check if I could handle the procedure. Even after my Cardiologists approval the Anesthesiologist wouldn't sign off on it until I agreed to the procedure. I wasn't a number, I was a human and my health was their number one priority and concern. Too many hospitals, just push people through like cattle, here you are treated as an individual, and all your unique issues are considered, discussed and explained to you before they move forward. In my case I would be on my stomach, with an incision in my back, with instruments sticking out, had I had a cardiac issue they would have to address certain things before rolling me over to address my heart. This could've wasted precious seconds that were needed for life saving procedures. Luckily nothing happened, but you never know. They were adamant that I be aware of all the issues so I could make an informed decision. Even though they are still having post Hurricane Michael repairs and upgrades completed, they operate at a level of professionalism that makes you think they never had any damage or issues. Thank you for the awesome care.......

The customer service is way better than it used to be. Matt who did my registration at the front office was helpful and polite. I did not have to wait long to have my lab work done. Also, the nurse who drew my blood was super nice. I saw much improvement in my last visit there.

I have a private number in TENNESSEE but somehow it's being given to the patients to contact THE KITCHEN AT THIS HOSPITAL. I've called many times but no one seems to know how to fix this issue. So I'll just keep setting up new email addresses to rate you ONE STAR until someone pays attention
