In town for a couple of days when I fell. Discovered I have a fractured wrist. Very grateful for the excellent care I received in the ER.

Fraudulent charges have persisted 10 years... and grown from $6,800 to almost $10,000.00! Beware if you visit this hospital and be very scrutinizing of your bills! They are well intentioned people, but disorganized and have shown great inability and disinterest in resolving their mistakes. If you can receive healthcare services at any other hospital, you should! I was a patient in the emergency room 10 years ago carrying a high deductible health insurance plan. I actively (yet politely) denied comfort services (extra pain medication, etc.) and over the counter available products (crutches, extra bandages, etc.) to save money knowing it would all be billed and come out of my pocket. The nurses, who are committed to providing excellent service only and not involved in the billing whatsoever, did their best, but did not know what to do with my questions. One way or another, I was billed for services, medications, and products I actively declined. I have repeatedly attempted to address the matter with the hospital billing department. They call me every nine months and I tell them over and over again that I will not pay for services that were not rendered and for products that were declined. They are either unwilling or unable to handle this matter and if you have a choice and your provider, I suggest you choose one that is more organized then Gunnision Valley Hospital.

Gunnison Valley Health Emergency Room is top notch. We brought my husband in to rule out a MI and from the moment we registered, we knew we were in good hands. Everyone was efficient, soooo sweet, very understanding, and super helpful. We literally were out in 2 hours. AND THIS WAS A FULL WORKUP. The staff was extremely accommodating and we are so thankful. (We needed to catch a 1:30 bus back to CB and they legit got us discharged super fast to be able to catch the bus.) I’ve worked in an emergency room, and discharging patients can take awhile but Dr. Sherman did everything he could to get us out in time. Such great service! A big thank you to Gina, our RN, and Matt! The RT and other staff were super on top of things too! Thank you for turning a scary experience into a positive one!

I absolutely value the service and quality in care gunnison valley hospital provides to their community. My business here is occasional and each time the staff have been extremely helpful with directing me where I need to go and notifying the staff in the lab of my arrival. Photos provided are near the hospital and representative of the natural wildlife and beauty that surrounds the hospitals district. Would highly recommend patients seek care here.

My husband and I were driving through Co. When we got stuck in the snow just before Gunnison. My husband had a shovel close on his finger cutting open. We had no choice but to drive to the next big town and go to the local ER. We made it to Gunnison Valley Health and were meet by the nicest ER staff I have ever meet. They fixed my husband finger and got us on our way. Thank you so much to the ER staff on that night. You are doing an amazing job keep it up. Thank you so much.
