I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I took my daughter their due to a stomach bug and they saw her quickly and were very knowledgeable. The doctor explained everything she was thorough and kind. The ER was clean and friendly. I really appreciate everything they did and how patient they were with our little girl.
Was at Ochsner Hancock Medical Center for some outpatient tests recently. To a person, the folks I dealt with were nice and helpful. Relatively small hospital with a family like feel. I enjoyed my experience there and recommend it to others.
An ambulance brought my mom to the ER last night. There was one person waiting for a loved one in the back and one person checking out & paying her bill. The girl behind the reception desk was THE most unprofessional individual that it was abhorrent. I watched her attempt to open a locked bag an incredible amount of times. It was like she couldn’t figure out how to use a key. The woman she was helping was visibly frustrated. She typed in whatever she was typing so slowly that I could have learned to type in that period of time. She didn’t care. She made copies like the waiting room was empty. It was like she wasn’t working at an ER at all. I waited over 20 minutes patiently up until when she finished with that lady & decided to assist someone who had walked into her area (another employee) as though she forgot I was standing right in front her all of this time. It was appalling. Jobs are not so plentiful that an employee can afford to care so little. Even the nurses were fed up with her and suggested I call her supervisor.
On a good note-My mother was treated relatively quickly and the doctor and nurses were very nice. It’s the process of waiting at the desk to be buzzed back while my mother was scared in the ER & that girl not giving two hoots that did me in.
WORST experience! My mom was sick constantly but hasn’t ate anything, she has chest pain and back pain and is congested. She was crying for an hour and a half and NO ONE will even give her medicine to stop her from being sick. Nor has the doctor seen her yet. She is obviously dehydrated and should have a chest x-ray but I guess they honestly don’t care. We are still sitting an waiting for just the doctor to come see her! The worst experience! They need better training! Thank goodness I brought l her in here because no one had checked on her or her chest pain in the hour an half we have been here! Yet I can hear there PERSONAL conversation from the room we are in, I’m sure they are just so busy!
Saw Jamie Rutherford for follow up since my doctor is no longer there and she went through and deleted my medicines in my record... she told me this and said she assumed I didn't take it anymore. I had just updated her nurse on my meds 5 min before. Then my Mom goes to see her and she was incredibly rude and unhelpful in getting refills and Jamie again deleted her meds. Loved Dr. Hollibaugh please bring her back.
