If I could give Harris Regional Hospital a minus 10 star review, I would! Google should change their rating system just so I can do this for this terrible place!!!
In fact, they are very blessed that I am only giving a negative review instead of suing their pants off for criminal conduct, including neglect and abuse of an infant. So please take a moment to read this whole review!!

I have added one last paragraph below this, but I could not say it better than "Miranda Poindexter" review down below, "Aside from a singular nurse maybe 2 the rest are rude and hateful. If you don’t like what you do for work don’t do it and definitely don’t treat patients like criminals. Late night ER nurses need to be replaced hands down I feel for all the patients that are treated this way daily..."

In my case it was the Maternity/Delivery department late night staff, who called the Jackson County Sheriff on me for firmly insisting that they call the hospital administrator on shift to talk with me concerning my newborn daughter. I had already previously been identified to the Staff by my wife as the Father of our newborn and had been peacefully with our newborn and wife. These people really did treat me like a criminal with zero regard for my life, the life of my newborn, my family, my welfare as a U.S. citizen or any of my rights as a human being and U.S. citizen, etc. With all my heart I say, NEVER go to this hospital for
ANY reason, even if you are dying. You would be better off with a total stranger than at this place. It REALLY was THAT bad of an experience.

Aside from a singular nurse maybe 2 the rest are rude and hateful if you don’t like what you do for work don’t do it and definitely don’t treat patients like criminals (Jessica RN). Late night ER nurses need to be replaced hands down I feel for all the patients that are treated this way daily. Go to Mission of Asheville you have a better chance of actually surviving.

I had an excellent experience at this hospital! My college student Son had a need for a nasal fracture repair. He wanted to have surgery close to his college. I am a PCP from the Charlotte area, so, naturally, was a bit hesitant, as this is a small town with a small hospital. The surgical team was optimal from the Surgeon to anesthesiologist and nurses. Great work team!!

Had a very rare surgery completed at Harris Hospital in Sylva. Dr. Supik was the one who did it and he was awesome. The staff was great and the whole experience was great! Also the food at this hospital is amazing! Way better than any hospital I’ve been to. Keep up the great care!

I had a great experience at this hospital. Went in for a inducement Monday morning, had a baby Monday night. Darci was my midwife and I loved her. She read over my birth plan and pretty much followed it. She knew that having a pain medication free birth was important to me so she went over and offered medication free ways to deal with the pain. The only thing I wish she had done was check in on me during recovery. I would’ve liked to see her while not in labor.
There were several great nurses that helped me and my new baby. Sierra and Rachel were my nurses during delivery. They worked great with Darci and I felt like they had great communication with each other and me. During recovery Shelby and Kecia were my primary nurses. They understood that I wanted to be as natural as possible when it came to medical intervention. When my baby developed low blood sugar they offered alternative solutions instead of insisting that she go on IV immediately (she still had to eventually but I appreciate that Kecia advocated for me).
Brandi was the lactation nurse that I saw the most of. She really helped me as a first time mom properly feed my baby.
All in all a great experience. I would recommend Harris Regional Hospital to women looking to have a more natural birthing experience and recovery.
