feedback about Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital
I'm really surprised at all the low star reviews. Our family has never had any experience there that would even approach that low of a score. I've personally had many visits there (some serious) as well as my wife and mother and we've never had a bad or unpleasant outcome.
The facilities are in good shape and the people are knowledgeable. I actually came to this site today to register our family's appreciation for the care my wife just received there on a recent three day stay.
One must keep in mind that small hospitals excel at some things that the big ones do not and vice-versa and select their hospital accordingly.
Went in today and the reason I will leave out. They were so genuine! Every single one of the staff were helpful and caring! I was moved right into a room. (although there was no one there either). They turned a horrible day for me into a much better day! The doctor all the way down to the nurses were AMAZING! I cant thank them enough for the help they gave to me today! Thank you thank you thank you! I wish there was a better way to thank you all especially the ones who took the time to care for me today. I'll come up with something!
I have been here several times for surgery and having another March 19, 2019.
I have complete confidence in this hospital.
As with several others here, if I could give this quackatorium a negative rating, I would. My nephew who is 6 years old and has type 1 diabetes, was taken there only because it was the closest "hospital" because his sugar was very low and he had keytones (which, for those of you without diabetes is very bad, especially for a small child). Upon arrival, the staff gave him a popsicle and Gatorade to raise his sugar and replace electrolytes as he was puking also. His sugar came up a little but still not enough. They wanted to recheck his levels because they didn't believe the readings from his own meter. That may have been acceptable if they actually did it. His mother took him out of that place and drove up the road to Sparrow where he was immediately admitted and has five people working on him. THAT is what should have happened at HGB but didn't. Does someone have to die to get the proper assistance at a HOSPITAL?!?!
If you have an emergency and HGB is the only place to go for healthcare...go somewhere else.
I would give zero stars if I could. Went there after i had an IUD complication. Doc ended up saying it was a psychological problem and NEVER attempted to check out what I was saying. Tried to do unrelated testing and then tried to admit me for psych! Against my will!!!!
Turns out after I went to another ER my IUD had perforated my uterus and I had an infection. I will NEVER go back there and will be making a complaint to the state. I was very sick.
Possibly one of thenqorst experiences I've ever had!!!!! I'm still crying and upset!!!!
