I made an appointment for 12:30pm online. Knowing I could relax at home for a bit before I had to go. When I got here I told the lady at the counter that I checked in online and had a confirmation number.
She looked at me and told me it didn't matter. I asked what she meant because I got a confirmation number and everything she said none of it mattered she had to start me all over. I said then what's the point in checking in online? And her answer was "exactly."
So checking in online is apparently an arbitrary feature that means nothing but none of this is disclosed at all until you get here and realize it's all a lie.
There may not be anything done about this just because I complained, but I promise one day someone with a lot more money than I have is going to show up and cause a problem. This was a really annoying development in a day where I already wasn't expecting to have to be here.
I expect that people that are more critical would go ahead of me even if I had checked in online, but if we're all in here for a similar reason, I'm going to have to wait until all these people that got here first go even though I checked in online a couple hours ago and showed up 5 minutes early.
If this system is a lie to make people feel like the wait is faster, then the organization should be ashamed of themselves. If there's a break in the system, or it's not completely live yet, or the staff needs more training then this is something that needs immediate attention.
I was admitted with one issue, told I had another, given antibiotics and told to see my physician. The physician said after reviewing my Health Central records I didn't have the "other" issue. I tried to access my records via the Follow My Health Client Portal and they are missing. Yet I did receive medical bills that are now over $10,000 and the issue I originally came in with was never addressed. I have sent 2 emails to the Financial Department regarding the bills and have not received ANY response.
I went in by the ambulance and taken care of right away. Well upon doing so I was not feeling any better. They told me that they couldn't help me and it's time to go. I heard the staff congratulations to each other for clearing the ER. I don't think that is efficient if the patient feels the same as the came. Of course had to go back to flFlori hospital for the best care..to put icing on the cake I was sent a bill for over$7000 but I didn't feel worth.02cents!
If you can go to another hospital, DO IT. This hospital took me in, misdiagnosed me, had me speak to 4 different doctors all of whom told me something different and admitted me for the night only to tell me the next day there was nothing wrong with me. I went to my primary care doctor after and they ran tests and found exactly what was wrong. But this was after I got a VERY ridiculous bill for a one night stay... for apparently no reason..? This hospital is horrible, and doesn't help patients at the end of the day. They are only after money.
Worst hospital ever! I went to ER because of chest pain and they asked me if i did drugs i told them no, then i got brung to the back where again they kept asking me if I did drugs I said NO. I heard them outside say "oh he is probably on drugs because he is young and with chest pain.". After taking a sample of my urine they ruled drugs out of the question. Turned out I had inflammation of lungs and heart. They were rude, shouldn't assume things, and talk rudely towards people. Never coming here again.
