Update: No one ever called me for quite some time -- despite being told they wanted to contact me to resolve the issue. When someone finally did and we were able to connect over the phone, she found out which location I was talking about and was apparently someone from a doctor's office and had nothing to do with Health Central. She said someone else would call to speak with me and to-date no one ever has.
I made an appointment for 12:30pm online. Knowing I could relax at home for a bit before I had to go. When I got here I told the lady at the counter that I checked in online and had a confirmation number.
She looked at me and told me it didn't matter. I asked what she meant because I got a confirmation number and everything she said none of it mattered she had to start me all over. I said then what's the point in checking in online? And her answer was "exactly."
So checking in online is apparently an arbitrary feature that means nothing but none of this is disclosed at all until you get here and realize it's all a lie.
There may not be anything done about this just because I complained, but I promise one day someone with a lot more money than I have is going to show up and cause a problem. This was a really annoying development in a day where I already wasn't expecting to have to be here.
I expect that people that are more critical would go ahead of me even if I had checked in online, but if we're all in here for a similar reason, I'm going to have to wait until all these people that got here first go even though I checked in online a couple hours ago and showed up 5 minutes early.
If this system is a lie to make people feel like the wait is faster, then the organization should be ashamed of themselves. If there's a break in the system, or it's not completely live yet, or the staff needs more training then this is something that needs immediate attention.
Every other time, it's been great at this hospital. However, most recently, I was told there was nothing to be done regarding an injury I had, which is fine, but then they tried to do bloodwork and an MRI....for what? The doctor just said nothing can be done!
Great hospital, Staff Doctor's are very nice & thorough detailed.
The rooms are amazing with couch's that pull out to beds, recliner, & big private room.

In the middle of the night my husband woke up with chest pain / abdominal pain. In the ER he was prioritized and assisted immediately. Hospital was clean . Staff is very proffessional and knowledgeable. All test were done stat. Best hospital in this area.!!
By far the best hospital I've ever been to in florida! If you ever have any issues and you're in central florida area I recommend you go there. I understand not everybody gets the perfect experience but mine couldn't have been any better.
I had to get emergency surgery and at the time didn't even have health insurance. They never once hassled me about how I was going to pay or anything. I have a decent job and the bill will be paid off eventually but the hospital could of treated the symptoms and sent me on my way like many other hospitals had over the years from the same stomach pain.
I had to review this hospital for the amazing treatment and after noticing 3 out of 5 stars, I'd love to see what those people would rate the other hospitals in the surrounding area. It's impossible that they'd be rated any better. Go here no matter what the issue, you will not regret that decision!
