I had a great experience at this hospital. The staff was extremely friendly and competent from the admitence clerk to the nurse and doctor. I had a horrible stomach pain and they were very patient me and quick to help me get out of pain. We were in and out within 2 hours. I would highly recommend this hospital.
Absolutely terrible ER. My friend died because of their incompetence. After multiple visits within a 24 hr period, they failed to recognize a recurring brain swelling issue that was already known in the patient’s medical history from childhood. After the 3rd ER visit, they attempted to life flight him, but he died on the way there. Unbelievable negligence.
I went to the ER at Heart of the Rockies after a ski accident where I hit my head and woke up the next day with trouble seeing. The staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing. They ignored the potential head injury completely, did not know how to work the eye equipment and injured my eye further by poking it when trying to get a pressure reading. They had me try to read an eye chart without my glasses/contacts as an afterthought and sent me on my way. Administrative folks who were supposed to call me back regarding the experience have not so there has been a complete failure to address my complaints of improper care. This was the most unprofessional medical experience I have ever had.
What a time to be alive--I'm giving an emergency room a 1 star review! On a cross-country road trip last night, I made a genuine mistake and took too many caffeine/ephedrine pills to combat my driving fatigue. I began having mild, but persistent, auditory and visual hallucinations. Several parts of my body were twitching, and my heart felt like it was being ripped in half. I called 911 to get a ride to this awesome hospital where I was told I accidentally overdosed on caffeine and marijuana. They did not give me any muscle relaxants to combat the involuntary twitching. They did not let me sleep. Dr. Warmbody seemed more intent on correcting minor details of my rambling story than he did calming me, asking clarifying questions, or offering tangible solutions. I told him I ate the marijuana edible *AFTER* I called 911, in a misguided effort to calm my body down, and he still penned that I overdosed on 10mg of marijuana. On top of it all, the ambulance that gave me a ride acted like it was a major inconvenience that I woke them at 3 in the morning. Like yeah dudes, I was having such a good time thinking I was gonna go into cardiac arreat that I just HAD to get you to me ASAP. What a rockin party. If you have a health emergency, I hope you're nowhere near Salida CO. Icing on the cake was that the courtesy shuttle guy asked me for gas money when he was giving me a ride back to my car.
Our daughter was in the ER tonight and they took amazing care of her! Awesome staff and they got our daughter in and fixed up in no time. Thank you!
