We recently moved into town. My 1 1/2 year old had a scary fall off a play set. Concerned, we decided to take him to the ER here in Marion since it was close in proximity. My wife and son arrived around 5:30p....at 8:35p she walked out of the ER room passing several nurses and staff sitting and chatting it up. During her (3 HOUR ER VISIT) one person came in and offered my son a drink, but no actual medical attention was received whatsoever.
Frustrated and concerned for our baby boy, my wife calls me in tears.
I’ve heard several rumors about this hospital in the past but I figured I would try To give them the benefit of the doubt.
My advice is if you need medical attention fast, don’t waste your time going to this hospital, reguadless what their billboard says on 13.
You’re likely not going to get the timely medical help you need.

We are so pleased with Heartland, great doctors and medical staff. My husband was admitted to the er for heart concerns, the in ICU for 3 days and received great service.

I sat there 2 and 1/2 hrs waiting for a procedure today. Finally got someone to call back and seen how long it was gonna be. They said they were cleaning up from the last procedure , it wouldnt be long. 45 mins later I took my pager up told them i was leaving. The receptionist called back and a lady come out and told me the same story I heard 45 mins earlier. My time is important too. Its ridiculous for a patient to have to wait that long and then get same ole story

I am sitting in the waiting room with severe pain in my back and my abdomen. Had a colonoscopy Thursday and put it off for 4 days finally had enough sat in a wheelchair and been here for quite a while and not even been looked at. I guess because I stumbled in under my own power they think I am okay. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND TOTAL UNCONCERN.

Nurses that cared for my daughter (Lauren & Tiffani) in the Emergency room were extremely kind, showing much compassion, excellent in their job skills, and talking to her making her more at ease. 10 years ago I would have never used Heartland, because of rumors. NOW it's one of my favorites!!!! Good job Heartland Regional!!!!!
