I had a spinal infarct and went to Helen Hayes Hospital as part of my recovery. So grateful for all the staff (Nurses, Aides) on unit 2a who were so kind and helpful to me during my stay. The therapists are also top notch and really want to help you succeed. I wish I could give this place 10000 stars

Best rehab care in NY. Well run facility with exceptional staff, from admin to janitorial. Standouts include Colleen (case manager) and Alexis (PT/OT), but everyone there is excellent. On-site prosthetic/brace shop does custom work quickly. OT equipment even includes a fake apartment to practice in! The chef could stand some new ideas, but the food is healthy. If your loved one is lucky enough to get in, keep them there as long as possible before transferring to SNF. You won't find better care.

Quoted from a patient "PT is excellent. Nurses and aides The nurse and aides are not kind. They are rough and not nice and I'm sorry I sent my Mom there. She can't wait to get out.

I was at Helen Hayes for a brain injury and the therapist I had were great! Josh my occupational therapist he was funny and although I always argued with him he taught me how to fold clothes again and cook along with memory games. Carl was my speech therapist and he taught me how to pronounce my words properly again. I believe Adrienne was her name she was my physical therapist and she was so kind and always told me take my time when I was learning how to walk again. Everyone there was so kind to me because I was so young only 30 when the tia happened and these people always made me feel like I could overcome this battle. Oh wait I can’t forget Trish my other physical therapist she was so lovely. I miss all of them and I wish I could have stayed a little longer because they really did their job to the best of their ability. They had me on a diet but I absolutely loved my meals I got home and I HATE what my family friends me it’s so unhealthy
