Took a friend to ER last night. It was loud with remodeling but we received service with a smile. Everyone was nice, worked hard to find a diagnosis. He was admitted and the care continued to be excellent. My first choice in the Shoals for a hospital

Everyone I came into contact with at Helen Keller Hospital went above and beyond to make my day surgery great. All of the nurses and staff were polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. I don’t remember all of their names, but Robbie stands out in my mind for her sweet disposition. The lady who transported me to the operating holding area had me laughing all the way there. Thanks HKH for your great hospitality.

I took my son in for running 104 fever, vomiting, cough, and fatigue. It was 5am n the ER was almost empty we went back soon after arriving. The nurse barely took his temp I had to let her know that she has to make him lift his tongue to get a good read. The doctor came in soon after told me he wasn't going to run tests cuz he knows he has the flu n that it may not even shown up on a flu test. They leave n the nurse comes back with liquid medicine even though I already told them he can't keep ANYTHING down. She gives him the meds then panics when he threw it up. She then gave him a shot for nausea n discharged him telling us his nausea would subside. It's been 12 hrs and he's still vomiting every time he eats something. I called them back to find out what I can do and they ask me if he has a regular doctor I told them no she coped an attitude and just kept asking me over n over if he has a primary physicians even while I'm telling them no. The lady hangs up on me n transfers me to someone else who i know is sitting 2 feet away from her cuz of all the renovations. I tell him what's going on n he has an attitude as well telling me I just have to bring him back. I ask if I will be charged for a seperate visit he tells me yes with an attitude.

If you can, avoid this hospital!!! They put a mark on my credit because they have been sending my bill to the wrong address!! I have had multiple problems paying bills to them either they can't read or just don't care. If you want a good hospital go to ECM!
