Hines VA Medical Center

One of the oldest VA hospitals in the area, but care, doctors, staff are up to date. The campus has many buildings. The first building is still in use, mainly for offices. The rest of the campus has many buildings that are newer to new. Valet parking- FREE In my 20+ years I have always was satisfied with my care. Like all VA hospitals there is a medical school near by. There are Many services in addition to medical care. Cameras not allowed. The main entrance building 200. Valet car drop off.

The women's clinic has been very good to me so far. Dr Erickson, Beverly, and Marie are always very prompt and helpful on the phone when I call.

I go here 2-4 times a month. I am treated with respect . 90% of appointments are good and I get the care I need. The only negative thing I can say is that the policy of no pain medication (unless you have terminal cancer) is cruel and inhumane to veterans. I realize the VA is under a Congressional mandate/ order that they must obey as they get their operating budget from Congress. That being said, we should not have been lumped in with heroin and Fentanyl abusers/overdoses. Unfair.

Excellent medical care and treatment o veterans. Anything from medical to social services to housing can be addressed inside. Extremely clean facility that is always expanding. Transportation is provided free of charge. A most for any veteran. Expansive facility with many buildings that offer a variety of services to meet any veterans need.

Visited earlier this year 2018 for the first time and I was given a SENIOR FORMULA multivitamin when I'm not a senior? When at the mental health room to see a doctor, the male employee working at the desk asked me questions in front of everyone that the doctor is supposed to ask me in private especially with HIPAA LAW.
