Nurse Shirley in the sleep apnea dept. was very helpful and knowledgeable.
She explained the proceedure and gives

We were on vacation when my daughter started getting sick. After a trip to the ER, we were sent into surgery for an appendectomy. The staffs from the ER to the OR were outstanding. They took great care of my daughter. The OR crew and Dr. Lenington eased her fears as they took her back. Once on the 3rd floor, the care remained top notched. The facility is clean and everyone is extremely friendly.

Have spent a few times in this hospital in the last year and more. Very friendly and dedicated staff. Only issue is a personal one, I do not believe that any corporation, which would be the Christus Mother Francis system, should have any right to refuse any medical procedure agreed upon between the Dr and patient. Because it is a Catholic organization, any type of service like tubal ligation is not allowed, forcing people to go to another place away from home and their personal Dr, and be treated by someone they know nothing about. Drs that have been treating generations of families in Sulphur Springs are forced to deny treatment and get reprimanded for even referring their patient to another hospital.

I went in really concerned about something that had developed when I was out of town. I first got one answer by a PA then another that was completely different when the doctor finally came in. They were laughing like this was a joke. I’d been so stressed out because I have had other health issues and thought this was related. I was told to come in if things got worse. then I get laughed at because the diagnosis was apparently funny to them. I’m not a doctor and I was doing what I was told by a doctor out of town. Just really horrible experience. Expected people in the healthcare community to be more professional.
