Nephew bought in today by ambulance for severe chest pains (heart attack symptoms). I drove from Saginaw 45 minute drive to find him sitting in the waiting area, waiting to be seen. Asked the Nurse if its not considered an emergency if a person is experiencing severe chest pains. Was told we would have to wait because there are no beds and the hallways were filled with people. A person could be in serious danger and it seems as if the staff here don't give a damn. This would have never happen in Saginaw. Not at the hospital's there. HEART ATTACK SYMPTOMS are taking serious. So disappointed in how my Nephew was treated. This is information the LOCAL NEWS should and will here about.
This hospital is a joke. ER is slow and does not treat patients well or fast enough. Nobody assured the patients. The staff talk as if nobody are in the rooms with emergencies. I don’t understand why the owner of this hospital keeps apologizing to people that have had experiences here. There is no change at all. And I do not want to call a number to let someone know what they can change or do different to make my experience better. Fix and clean your staff and hospital!!
I had my daughter in here we waited for 4 hours 3 hours in the waiting room and 2 hours in the room all the nurses standing around talking and joking around almost every nurse just kept walking by and looking at us. I will never come to hurley for anything there was people begging people for things in the waiting room
Two hours of waiting. Still here but now I'm going to another ER room. This place needs to really think about what they are doing to people. I will now go the rest of my life telling people to never go here. Sad to think this place can not help the people.
I agree that the staff is appalling and rude. They need to be re-educated on what the term “emergency” means and how to treat the unfortunate souls who find themselves in their waiting room. My son was in severe pain and had a fever of 106, borderlining seizure territory, and the uninterested desk attendant told me to take a seat and wait my turn, as though we were there for a routine check up at a pediatricians office! We pleaded, begged even, for them to send us back and help our son and they only told us to wait “or go somewhere else.” Their attitudes and arrogance disgusted me. They lacked empathy and hustle. After 10 minutes of panicking in the waiting room, another nurse sauntered out and invited us back to a room where she then clicked around on her little computer and occasionally poked her head in and out of the door to ask the other nurses this and that, while we stripped our son of his clothes and laid wet paper towels on his head desperately, and single handedly, trying to reduce his burning temperature. They put my son at risk with their ignorance! I gave them a full report on symptoms, when they started, how it had spiraled out of control and after the whole speech the nurse said “sorry, can you repeat that?” She didn’t listen to anything I said. Even after I repeated it she asked the same questions over. The nurse who then had to find a vein to put in an IV blew my sons vein after poking him SIX times and handing it off to someone else!! The only reason I gave this review 2 stars instead of 0 is because the DOCTORS themselves were kind and accurate with their craft. The nursing and desk staff are bringing this hospital down. They need a crash course on how to give a damn. You’re NURSES: nothing to be arrogant about. I’m a parent and I showed my sons temporary and very serious condition more knowledge and care than any of them!
