They say first impressions last. Well, for me that’s true because I’m never going back after resolving my medical matter.
First of all I was not greeted with a smile from the intake person nor did anyone have pleasant dispositions. So, I was only left to assume that they did not like their jobs. Maybe that’s not a deal breaker for you but, it’s a deal breaker for me. I think that people who work with sick people should, in the least, have a pleasant disposition, even if they have to fake it.
Secondly, I was seen by a nurse practitioner instead of a doctor. She introduced herself by letting me know that she was better off than me, which I took as being inappropriate. After I informed her that I could be better off than she was, she remained pleasant while cleaning my wound and stitching me up.
Before leaving, I asked for antibiotics to keep my wound from being infected, she did not prescribe me any nor give me any to take home. Needless to say, I had to return to have my wound checked, which resulted in another bill. The patient liaison person told me to call her when I get the bill so that she can delete it. There is more that I can say, but I won’t.
On a good note, the wait time was not long. However, now I know why!
