5 Stars for my 3-doctor team on the trauma ward and 5 stars for the technicians who did my needed tests.
Zero stars for all except one of the nurses on the trauma ward. They're stupid, smug and sadistic. If they don't like you let you know it by giving you as little care as they can get away with and letting you know they wouldn't treat you at all if it were up to them. They have no compassion or even understanding for what patients are going through. They're total trash and have no business being anywhere near patients, especially on a ward for human beings who are seriously hurt enough to be there.

The interns, some residents, and the highly dangerous medical students trying out a specialty for a couple of months, at least try to do the best they can. But their supervising doctors never lay eyes on patients so they have no idea if what their trainees are telling them is right or even all they should know. Thanks to these useless supervising doctors, you're lucky if you get out of there at least no worse than when you entered. (But that's the same with every teaching hospital, even the private ones. The doctors-in-training are on their own. But based on my experiences at Jacobi, most of them are very good.)

GOT THERE 4:30 left 12:00 😡😒😡😡Went to the adult emergency room. First all woman in the front are nasty, had to check her real quick, anyways Waited 2 hours to see a nurse another 3 to get call IN, to wait again 3 hours to be put in a room, finally saw a doctor, which both were nice, I forgot their names and also nurse patty was nice. Only good things they had a charger in the waiting room if you need but never again!!!!!!!! This was a Saturday night btw. Also children's emergency room is a little better..... & if they take your blood pressure and it's high, obviously you get put in right away.

I've been to this hospital a few times and I can honestly say it's a very nice hospital. I have an anxiety disorder that often times make me feel really ill, so I sometimes find myself in an ER. It's Very clean and the doctors always did a thorough exam to make sure nothing was wrong. I came via ambulance so I didn't have to wait to be seen, but if you walk in you'll probably be waiting forever, lol. I think this is the best hospital in the Bronx from my experience!

The doctors there are very unprofessional. They never told me about my son during rounds. They wanted until late in the afternoon to tell me. Also they don’t clean the cribs good for babies. The top was filthy and has to clean it myself. Had I known there was another hospital close to me I would have never come to this one. Also triage nurses have an attitude when you want to wai on the doctors to determine your condition. Don’t come here. Run!!!!!!!!!!! Based on my son’s personal experience. Just my opinion.

I had to give a star to the doctors that did the operation. They were helpful. Other than that, this place is purgatory. They make you wait for 12 hours until someone tells you to wait another time. If you love places with waiting times that are longer than a part time job shift, then you will LOVE this place. What about blood stains? Well this is your place! You will love the blood stained floors. And ask anyone a question about anything....NO ANSWER. Sorry for the sarcasm, I just havnt eaten or slept well for 12 hrs. Again, good doctors....once they actually see you. Its faster to pray for a miracle than to come here.
