feedback about John Randolph Medical Center
The hospital staff of 2 South B was simply amazing. The professionalism and bed side manner were exceptional. There were no problems while caring for my husband Joseph Wilkins. This hospital's doctors, nurses and even the cleaning staff made the last 20 days of my husband's life the best they could be. But, it gave his family a memorable stay at a medical facility we had never experience before. It would get a 10 star rating from me if possible. Thank you!
I am very glad with this Hospital
We can with my little kid at the emergency room and they took as right way, and the nurses and the Doctor were very nice and very kind.my husband an I don't have any complaint!
Went to the ER last night barely able to walk. Was prescribed 2 pain meds. Went to fill them this morning & they had never given me the actual paper prescription with my discharge papers. Went all the way back & was refused any help because "the computer said they gave it to me". After going back & forth with the receptionist, I asked if anyone higher up could speak to me. The response was "the doctor but he's not going to come up here." At this point I'm crying to the woman that I'm im horrible pain & just spent $150 there for no reason. I asked if there was any other treatment they could provide that might help me and was told no. Had to get rolled back out to our vehicle in a wheelchair with no other help whatsoever. Just throwing their hands up in the air saying I have to suffer because they made a mistake. I will never go here again & do not recommend anyone else to either.
Showed up at 9:00 for a 10:30 booked procedure. Was shown back to the waiting room around 930, then sat until 10:45 until I went and found a nurse to see what was taking so long. The nurse came back to the waiting room and said in a very condescending tone "well we are very busy today and have no beds for you right now. We are working on finding you something. You just have to be patient and understanding." This wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't for the tone in her voice. It takes 2 seconds for a nurse to walk back and inform someone how late they are running. It's called customer service. I was finally taken back around 11:15 then waited until 12:30 to have the procedure. Even the doctors were saying that they seriously over booked and had never seen such ridiculous delays. Incredibly unprofrssional of the part of the staff. They should also put up sign that states "No eating in the waiting room". There are people there who haven't eaten in a day and a half and to have others snacking on chips is rather irritating and the sound is obnoxious. Common courtesy goes a long way and I found none of it in this hospital. I will be finding another place to have surgery and procedures from now on.
I will NEVER. I REPEAT. NEVER, come to this hospital again. Filthy is an understatement. Toilet in the ER was covered in feces and once I notified the nurse I got a “o ok”. Didn’t get up to check, didn’t page anyone to check it out... So basically my child and I had to wait to use the restroom until moved into another area, AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER. Very dated equipment and the hospital itself. The staff was friendly however they moved extremely slow. I will definitely travel further to be treated at SRMC if needed.
