I just had a terrible experience here. I drove my friend here for surgery. We live out of the area. While waiting for surgery, I decided to rest in a general waiting area. I sat on a sofa and rested my legs. I began to take a nap. I was then approached by a security guard. He said I could not sleep there because other people needed to sit down. Mind you there were plenty of seats available. I will be following up with a complaint with their offices. I would give this place 1 star, but the rest of the staff was friendly and great. It is unfortunate that one person had to ruin it for everyone else.
The emergency room entrance for walk-ins is on Civic Center near the corner of Walnut. Staff are polite and professional. No access to vending machines before core business hours though -- there is a Starbucks within walking distance on Civic Center south of the emergency room entrance.
If you have a job and work normal hours, stay away from Kaiser. Their hours are extremely inconvenient. Every time I have to come here for anything, I have to take time off of work. My view is that it's a scam to save money; if it's inconvenient to go, fewer people will use the insurance they paid for.
The reception staff is pretty slow at Niles 3b . My husband was in too much pain , and the staff said they just wanted to talk to the patient, whether the patient can talk or not in pain. Weird .
The place is clean, and easy to find. It was fairly simple to navigate between the buildings and the staff was very nice and helpful. My appointment was on time.
