Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center

The Emergency Department nurses do not scrub the IV hub with alcohol before administering medications. I have taken my wife to the ED multiple times (unfortunately) and have witnessed this careless oversight several times. I have no other place to go --my insurance is Kaiser. I dread the Emergency Department. My wife is sick already when I take her to this place. The inpatient nurses are very good at scrubbing the hub. Felt punished for taking issue with an ED RN's poor practice. No follow up when I voiced my concern. just moved to another room.

I've heard people refer to Kaiser as being the McDonald's of healthcare, but I think it deserves better respect. I've always received quality care with Kaiser. When my wife was terribly sick, they made her well. My experience with Kaiser has been nothing less than excellent.

It was the weekend and I was suffering from major sinus issues, accidentally went to emergency room instead of urgent care. Check in desk never recommend that I might want to go to urgent care instead, needless to say it cost me $200 copay for something that would have cost me $40. Vary disappointing! Been with kp for 30yrs, now thinking about leaving.

From 10pm to 5am it's super hard to get back in let alone leave so prepare to sleep in your car, very stupid when new child arrives. Thankfully the security has great memory and let me in.

My son is in the hospital right now and his nurse Sophia is amazing!
