feedback about Lake Wales Medical Center
Great emergency room. Dr. B. Carson and her staff are wonderful. Very professional and attentive to my needs. Shortest wait time before being seen I have ever experienced.
My mother is currently being treated there. Dr. Tola is awesome, excellent bedside manner and explains everything. An angel in disguise! He took the time to observe my mothers issue and get the ball rolling to get her the equipment she needed. Also nurses Faye, Heather and Marie went above and beyond taking care of my mothers needs and looking out for her.Respiratory department was also top notch. From food service to security, every single employee was beyond polite and helpful. I wish I had a hospital with employees like this back in Pittsburgh. Also I wish I could give them 10 stars. Thank you to everyone one of them.
At my doctor's request I went to Lake Wakes Medic Center to have my foot xrayed. I was very pleasantly surprised. Nice, clean entrance with admissions easy to find. They took me right in and a very polite and knowledgeable young man was very professional and quickly entered all my information into the computer, then sent me to Radiology. Waiting time was approximately 3 minutes. Excellent experience!
I was greeted very nicely upon arrival. I was having heart palpitations, and wanted it checked out. They did a chest x-ray, and took blood work. My blood work layed on the counter for 40 mins. A nurse came in and ask me why my blood was still there, I had no idea why. They had to retake my blood, and I’m sure my insurance had to be charged twice. I would not go back.
I had a wonderful nurse during my stay at Lake Wales Medical Center in January 2017. Andre was born and raised in France. Every visit from him was enlightening. We would talk about France, the cost of health care here in the US vs the single payer health care in other countries, the difference in our cultures, and he taught me how to say thank you in French. I never had to push the call button for him. He checked on me continuously during his 12 hour shift. He was still working after his shift was over making sure his patients had everything they needed. I think he was surprised when I told him goodbye in French, he had a huge smile on his face. Au revoir (goodbye) Andre and merci beaucoup" (thank you). You are a credit to your profession.
