I had a scheduled c-section here in December with my third child and the staff was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better birth experience. My baby and I received wonderful care as the nurses really listened so I felt comfortable. My room was beautiful and the food was great. I would definitely return.
I stayed in the hospital for one night following a surgery in December of 2018. The facility was nice and I would recommend it to friends/family. The night nurse's name was Minnie. She was so nice and comforting - a pro. I hope she gets an award or some sort of recognition just for being so pleasant.
Came to the ER due to my fiancé having complications following spinal injections.
Took 7 hours (1:30am at this point) for them to decide to admit him. No biggie. Then we get told that they don’t have any room anywhere, and we would stay in the ER room, and that when a room became available we would be in it right away. Here is is now, 11:01am, and we’re still in the ER room. Then, the nurse forgot to order his breakfast, so when he inquired about it she claimed she had it ordered and is waiting on it. That was at 6:53am. He JUST got his food at 10:58am. It took 4 hours? Now it’s almost lunch. MAYBE he will get lunch by dinner time.
He also pressed his nurse button on the remote to ask for another blanket being there is 2 of us, and I’m having to sleep on the floor because again, we’re in the ER room, he’s in the bed and I’m stuck with that tiny chair, and the nurse gave an attitude saying she will see what she can do. That was 2 hours ago. Neither him or I have slept since 6am yesterday morning, and this ridiculous. Never coming here again. Made the biggest mistake choosing this over St Tammany.
I was there for an MRI for my shoulder, and X-rays for my knee. Both departments were cordial and efficient. Amanda in MRI went out of her way to ensure my comfort, and even hooked me up on cable tv while was in the machine. In my opinion this kind of service goes beyond the norm. Lakeview is my "go to" institution now!
This was a rapid in and out to replace my ICD, It all went well, except Dr. Presser was not pleased with the dressing placed on the incision, etc. He already addressed that with the hospital. For me it was basically fine, but it rubbed in places and I needed to stuff extra gauze under the dressing to reduce the rubbing which was irritating the skin. Since this was a replacement, i knew the the dressing should not have been rubbing.
