May God help you if you get admitted here, because I promise you none of these doctors care enough to.
My sister has been in the ER with a blood and kidney infection for 4 days. They’re “waiting for a bed” in the ICU. Do better 💁🏽♀️
This place should be shut down, the nurses will be behind their computers having full long conversations but they won’t care about their patient. If you have the chance to go to another hospital please do. Worst hospital service ever. Believe me when this is the dirtiest hospital I’ve been to, there was blood on the floor of the ambulance entrance no one ever cleaned it up. There’s a security guard by the elevator listening to music. I have no idea who runs this place but someone needs to call the health department and have them checked out. Will never come here again. If I could give zero stars I would.
My name is Tré Hailes and I came in for a collapsed lung, OBVIOUS emergency, they had me wait an additional 40 minutes to fill out paper work, first night into my stay , a Ms. Mary (rn) dislodged my chest tube and caused my lung to recollapse , the amount of neglect I received about my pain was unbelievable, nurses and doctor advocates are treating me as if I’m a junkie but I’m in excruciating pain, now I’m admittied to the ICU and I receive no type of polite vibes from anyone, they postpone my med times and when they feel your asking too many questions , nurses will take a disrespectful standing towards you. I have 2 openings in my chest and 2 different IV entry points with nobody catering to my pain management. This place is horrible , if you are admitted here , switch immediately. If you prefer polite and helpful then maybe you should go to another hospital but at laurel they only care for their money , not for you.
You are better off dying in the street than going to Laurel Regional Hospital. The lobby is nice, but go beyond the lobby and it's 1960. DIRTY! I don't mean a little, I mean NASTY DIRTY! Old style beds, the kind that only fold out in one position. Not the electric adjustable beds. Old 10" tube TV that you have to pay $10 per day to watch! Old equipment everywhere. Paint chipping off of walls. The floors haven't been redone in decades! Bathrooms were nasty. I have been in nicer crack houses and I am not lying or exaggerating! If an ambulance says "We're taking you to Laurel Hospital." Yell, scream, get out of the moving ambulance. Take a cab 10 miles away and then call another ambulance and they'll take you to a different hospital. I don't care if you are bleeding to death, Laurel Regional wouldn't have the staff or equipment to treat you. It's a time capsule form 1960. I cannot over stress this, DO NOT GO TO LAUREL REGIONAL HOSPITAL FOR ANY REASON. I wouldn't allow my dog to get his shots here.
This isn't a joke. I was in a serious auto accident. Had tests done and you can physically see everything is OLD. From bed, tv, equipment, etc.
Ambulance is taking you to Laurel Hospital? Scream, give the driver your last money or jewelry, anything to avoid it at all costs. Run down, dirty, nasty, cheap, crack house looking and smelling, just don't go! Read the other reviews. JUST SAY NO!
