I would have given 5 stars if not for recent experience with the frequently mentioned long wait for the ER. I sat in extreme pain, vomiting, and crying in the waiting room for hours. Once I made it to a room, everything improved. This ER is very busy, but staff there was courteous and took care of me. Once blood work and a CT scan showed my issue, they assisted with appropriate medication to ease the extreme pain of what turned out to be an 8mm kidney stone. I ended up staying overnight and having surgery in the morning. Doctors, nurses, OR staff and everyone I encountered were wonderful and caring. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food is delivered to order. Hey, it's not gourmet, but it's what you request from a menu of many choices and arrives at the right temperature. I would not hesitate to be an inpatient there again. But I'll try not to require their services.

The labor & delivery ward of the hospital is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I gave birth here 12 weeks ago and had the best experience. The ER however is a completely different story. I went in yesterday because I have been having chest pain, shortness of breath, and heart palpitations. I waited for 11 something until 3:00 a.m and still Had not been seen. It wasn’t only me but MULTIPLE people waiting there for hours upon hours and many got fed up and left. I sat and watched an elderly woman CRY because he husband needed to be seen and they had been waiting for hours. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I don’t know if they’re understaffed or what. But something needs to be done. I am still having chest pains and debating weather or not I should go sit there again. It’s the closer hospital too me.

Visited the ER after a car accident because I thought my arm could be broken. Waited hours.. the ER staff refused to give me a sling so I held my arm for hours. When they finally took me back for an x-ray, I was placed in a room afterwards where I waited another hour to see a doctor. The doctor was RIDICULOUS. He listed to my heart and that was the entirety of my exam. He spent the next 20 minutes showing pictures on his phone to my boyfriend, aunt, and uncle of his "trophy wife". The bill for this visit (although mostly picked up by my health and car insurance) was $8k. 8K to have 1 x-ray, a stethoscope placed on me for 5 seconds, and 20 minutes of uncomfortable banter with the doctor. Talk about a rip-off. The only upside was the nurses are nice.
