feedback about Lexington Medical Center
The wait was TERRIBLE. I told them I had chest pains and my arm was tightening. Somehow it still took them 7 hours to see me in the back. They weren’t that concern about me. They left an iv in my arm for 6 1/2 hours. I wouldn’t take a vicious snake to this hospital. I strongly recommend not taking your love one unless you don’t mind waiting for over 7 hours.
After getting to the back I realized that the doctors are really busy. Not just with patients in the emergency room but also patients coming in by ambulance. Even though my wait was long, it was worth it. Thank you Lexington Medical Center ER for you're hard work and dedication.
I would have given 5 stars if not for recent experience with the frequently mentioned long wait for the ER. I sat in extreme pain, vomiting, and crying in the waiting room for hours. Once I made it to a room, everything improved. This ER is very busy, but staff there was courteous and took care of me. Once blood work and a CT scan showed my issue, they assisted with appropriate medication to ease the extreme pain of what turned out to be an 8mm kidney stone. I ended up staying overnight and having surgery in the morning. Doctors, nurses, OR staff and everyone I encountered were wonderful and caring. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food is delivered to order. Hey, it's not gourmet, but it's what you request from a menu of many choices and arrives at the right temperature. I would not hesitate to be an inpatient there again. But I'll try not to require their services.
The labor & delivery ward of the hospital is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I gave birth here 12 weeks ago and had the best experience. The ER however is a completely different story. I went in yesterday because I have been having chest pain, shortness of breath, and heart palpitations. I waited from 11 something until 3:00 a.m and still Had not been seen. It wasn’t only me but MULTIPLE people waiting there for hours upon hours and many got fed up and left. I sat and watched an elderly woman CRY because her husband needed to be seen and they had been waiting for hours. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I don’t know if they’re understaffed or what. But something needs to be done. I am still having chest pains and debating weather or not I should go sit there again. It’s the closest hospital to me.
We went there today for my wife had to have some test run, we arrived there about 11:30 am, we had a lot of trouble finding a parking spot . We finally found one. We were met by a very nice man on a yard taxi who carried us right to the north tower. We were carried right to the place we needed to be., By a very nice volunteer 👍.we had a very nice experience with LMC today,. Thank you LMC.
