If I could give them zero stars I would. They told me they would call me in a day for my lab tests, they never called so I called them and they told me the results were in but they couldn’t give them to me through the phone. So I went to the labs and they told me I needed an ID and I told them I don’t have one and I then asked if I could bring my passport and they said no that I needed an ID.
I don't understand why any bad reviews. I have had all three of my kids here and had the BEST experience! Just recently the ER picked up an infection that Cottage Hospital couldn't! Thank you Lompoc!!
This place is the absolute worst. Each time we have came here has been nothing short of despicable. The ER waiting room is never full, yet the waiting time is always over an hour, at minimum. We've left on a couple occasions because we felt like we'd never be seen. I write this as I'm sitting in a room, where no doctor or nurse has checked on us for over an hour.
I don't believe this place has the right to call itself an emergency room. There is no sense of urgency and I feel like someone could actuallyactu waiting to be seen. Providing good service to people seems to be something the city of Lompoc lacks as a whole. I'd skip this place and go to Santa Barbara, if timing permits.
Bad management!! Horrible ER!! Went to the emergency because I had collapsed for the first time ever and all they did was EKG. No labs, no imaging, etc. I basically went in for nothing. Just a waste of time. One, year later and still trying to figure out what is wrong with me, but if something was done at the time I was in the ER maybe something could have been found and I may have been helped. If you can, go anywhere else but here. Hope something gets done about this place sooner than later.
I feel like if you're inpatient then this place might be OK... but my recent experience in the ER was annoying. For one, all the nurses are super friendly, welcoming, and had great bedside manner. There was ONE physician for the whole ER who I just didn't feel confident in simply because of his bedside manner and he just didn't sound confident in anything he was saying. He didn't look like he knew what was going on or what to do with me. I won't complain about the wait times or how long I was in my room and the hours that went by where no one was attending to me because I understand that there were way bigger emergencies going on. I did not have to have attention the entire time and I did not have life threatening injuries. I think it's ridiculous that people leave bad reviews due to WAITING TIMES. FYI: your waiting because there is someone who is more emergent or critical than you, be happy youre not the one with a gunshot wound or dying child. OK. now that I got that out, my bad experiences are never with medical staff but with administration or the check in ladies. I have been here three times and it seems like I always have to repeat myself or correct everything they do. They don't pay attention to what they're doing or what you're saying and to make matters worse when you are checking in or being triaged, they are super rude and unfriendly. To get into specifics, I gave the lady my insurance and ID. I told her my chart on file would be incorrect because I am now out of state. I told her my PCP would be a Vegas PCP, and that my address is now a Vegas address. I filled out the paper work and actually LISTED my address and PCP's name. After that she read back the info that she was supposed to update AFTER I handed her my paperwork, and she still read back my old information. My pediatrician (who obviously isnt my PCP because I'm almost 30), and my OLD address that I haven't lived in for over 8 years. I corrected her and sat down. After being d/c from the ER 4 hours later, they handed me my discharge paperwork and AGAIN the address and physician information was not changed. Imagine my frustration when I told her the information, then wrote it down, THEN corrected her...and yet she still kept ALL my 8+ year old information the exact same. I told the nurse and then the same admin lady came and asked WHAT WAS WRONG ON YOUR PAPERWORK. It took every ounce in me not to cuss that lady out. I wont be surprised if my bill gets mailed to an old Lompoc address. Anyway- the care here wasn't terrible. The 3-4 times I've had to present to the ER I have had terrible experiences with the check in staff. But the clinical staff are awesome. I just felt like this was more of an Urgent Care than an emergency room.
