My dad was very impressed with his Care. Everyone was very friendly. The place was clean. The nurses were always friendly when I was there to visit. We were very pleased with everything during his 5 day stay. He said the food was great too
I went to this facility one evening in May because I had a cut the interior of my thumb on a reusable glass water bottle that broke while I was camping. They were the only facility open in the area that evening and are labeled as both Walk - In Clinic and Emergency.
The cut was less than a quarter inch wide but I was a bit concerned that it may have needed a stich or two so I sought professional care. The place had about 1 other patient at the time and there were 4 individuals sitting at the nursing station staring at their computer screen, not even typing.
They took my vitals, soaked my hand in iodine for 30 min, then a doctor came in and looked at my hand and said it just needed a bit of glue. The nurse came back glued it and gave me a TDAP shot and sent me on my way. I had to stop at the nurses' station to inquire about instructions on how to care for my hand with the glue.
I spent less than 90 seconds with a doctor and less than 8 minutes with any caregiver then was sent a bill coded as a Moderate Severity Emergency Visit. I have been trying to follow the appropriate channels to dispute the bill for almost 6 months now. The bill is upcoded and from other reviews it seems this happening to most patients who visit this facility. They're location and hours makes them the only facility available for certain patients, and the billing system for healthcare in insane and difficult to understand in this country. I believe they are taking advantage of this, and taking advantage of their patients.
Horrible, unethical place. Poor care.
I was billed for my stay as a SEVERE ER visit. Which means I was alone for several hours in a room before I was released. No medical help was provided. Attempting to pay the bill has been more of a nightmare. Nobody answers the phone, voicemails are never returned. There are about 2 people in each department. It is not that difficult to return a phone call. Emails are always full and unable to receive mail. This whole system is a joke. It should not be difficult to pay a bill. I have requested medical records and detailed billing statements and the billings department can't get that right. They send you half the information you requested and are rude when you point out their errors. I have proof of payments made but the hospital cant provide proof on their end. I will not continue to hand money over to this ridiculous "hospital". This place needs a complete overhaul and a lesson in treating humans as humans.
The worst emergency care doctor out there..Dr Aldridge needs to pick a different profession, maybe a lawyer. He likes to argue and persist you are wrong... I would rather drive to Petoskey rather than let him even operate a bandaid machine
The Walk in doctor there is the worst doctor we have ever met. Very rude, and uncaring. wanted me to bring my 6 children back individually instead of as a family, even though 4 of them are too young to be in the waiting room by themselves. made sure to tell me we would be there 5+ hours because other patients come first. We will never go to this walk in clinic again as long as he is working there.
