If your life is on the line, this is the ONLY hospital you want to be at in Richmond. And it's so good, they fly folks in from all around the state all day long for trauma services.

That being said. They are very direct. The wait is usually long. And in other hospitals, where you may get more accommodations, VCU is going to do a bit less.

But, what they do, will be exactly what you need. It just may not be the most comfortable experience.

Just stay away. The physicians and nurses are disrespectful and crude.

One of the best hospitals I have ever been to. They have one of the bet Sickle Cell Clinics in Virginia. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone that's in the Richmond area.

Not the Best Hospital when you'd expect the same doctor for Progress Notes, Disability Claims &/or simply- Comfort. Because it's a Medical College, alot of the schedules will be done by Understudies & Assistants, hardly ever seeing the same person on consistant appointments.

Suffered from a spinal cord injury, spent a great deal of time in the ICU and then in the rehabilitation unit and what I had learned during my stay is that most of the staff are very under qualified. Don't expect to get decent treatment and being treated as a paying patient after spending $$$$, what you'll get is amateurish service from the nurses and doctors and quick deals to take your money and kick you out ASAP. If you have the ability to go to another hospital, DO SO!!
