I have very little confidence in the emergency room at St Mary's Hospital, but here we are once again, out of our control in the emergency room. We tried to go to urgent care but they don't take State Insurance. Today's episode is what we thought could be kidney stones, or kidney infection. Couldn't stand up, lower back pain, dark urine, etc. We arrived at 10:45 , it's now 3:15 I have no idea what's going on, if you go in the hall and ask anyone anything it's quite obvious your interrupting their day. I even tried to get some paper towels in the room, nope that's not her job. I went out into the main hospital and got some myself. This urine sample has been sitting I here for over an hour, I tried to get 3 people to see that it gets where it's supposed to go, nope that never happened. There is ZERO communication with the patient. This is unacceptable. I've had to go to urgent care facilities and other emergency rooms on many occasions and this emergency room falls very short on patient communication. Epic Fail St. Marys you should be ashamed of yourselves, you represent this Hospital whether you're assigned to a particular room or not, if someone approaches you with a question, would it be so bad to help them find the answer they seek, or they person that could help them. This emergency room staff were very depressing,

I can't begin to say how wonderful the staff in the ER is. In April I started having a severe headache and after hours of trying to wait it out I finally broke down and went to St. Mary's. The nurses were absolutely amazing. They were so kind and showed me so much compassion. PA Melissa Sinclair was my provider and she basically saved my life. Her critical thinking led to

I would like to take the time to say Thank You to Nurse Aubrey on the 2nd floor. She went above and beyond to make sure I was doing great. I truly appreciate her answering all my questions and concerns. Nurse Aubrey thank you for making my over night stay comfortable. Continue to be awesome. Naisha

Have had a knee replacement and shoulder surgery there. Everyone was terrific. Easy to schedule apointments for imaging. My only issues have been with long waits at certain times getting blood tests--but that is mostly an issue of insurance mandating where one can go and lots of others in the same boat...the lab folks themselves do a great job.

You’re better off driving out to Calvert ER if you have an actual emergency. After 3 1/2 hours I left because this place is a joke.
