feedback about Memorial Hospital of South Bend
What can I say about Memorial Hospital that hasn't already been said about Afghanistan? It's torn up, depleted, and overall a wreck. Most of the nurses were obnoxious, and it took forever to see a doctor. Enjoy hitting a call button a dozen times and then waiting an hour before getting any sort of assistance? Then Memorial is the hospital for you! This all occurred after being admitted for a serious heart issue. Also, this did not just happen in the E.R, but also on the 7th floor of the hospital. The doctors and nurses talk to patients like they are uneducated buffoons. I would give this sad excuse for a hospital 0 stars if I could.
The absolute worse emergency room within a 50 mile radius. Brought my father in due to shortness of breath and sweating and we are now on 3+ hours of waiting. I go ask why other patients are being brought back before him and get told "because their are dirty rooms and the other people dont need to be monitored. Well pretty sad because you would think if they dont need monitored that they would not be first in priority. I am making my family aware if anything serious is ever wrong with me or my son please dont bring us to beacon health systems south bend memorial emergency room. So for those out their if you ever are short of breath think twice about going their
Do not go to this hospital. They are rude and do not care about patients.
The only hospital that ive been to in all of my 46 yrs of living that treats a man that says he has chest pain and numbness from the waiting room...i will NEVER come this hospital again. .pain or no pain
Only 10 minutes of hearing about this place and I can say with confidence, that this hospital is staffed by nothing but incompetent, indifferent narcissists. Pretty bad accident with multiple fractures. Patient REQUIRES a C-Pap machine to breathe at night. Hospital is informed of this, no Cpap machine. (accident happened at 1pm) 🤔 Back of bed will not stay up, staff is informed that patient will choke at night while laying flat especially without cpap. They did not fix or replace the bed that night, barely slept, kept waking up gagging. I call to see what happened to the cpap, and am told "no order for one was ever put in..." On top of all this, there's a good two hours of full pain between doses. Do they adjust her dosage or even discuss it? No, but I did get to hear a snippy nurse over the phone talking to a patient who needs compassion, and not getting talked down to by overworked staff.
