I love Joplin Mercy. I also love physical therapy there. Yeah love physical therapy. Never thought you would here that from someone. Everyone from scheduling to the therapist are "great" to work with. They know your schedule will change and they work hard to help. The therapy is not drill sergeantish either. They help you help yourself.

I Really do not have a problem with the quality of care provided by the nursing staff , my problem is with the availability of Physicians and the extraordinarily long wait times. Look I understand that emergency is priority and they do happen however, if you have an appointment at 930 and its almost noon before you are called back it is beyond unacceptable . You ought to be given a chance to reschedule . The hospital wants a 24 hour notice if you cancel this should be a two way street people and their insurance pay alot of money for your services not to mention time lost just waiting. Also would like to point out scheduling has been inflexible as well

The staff was amazing! Super friendly and very helpful during a difficult time.

Staff in great. Having a advance directive on file with hospital is a great help if can't communicate. Everyone over 18 should have one it keeps you from having alot of problems. The pastoral care does them for free. If going to emergency room be ready to wait from 1 to 5 hours. I have found it to be that way at all hospitals in Joplin mo. If worried about someone go to desk every 30 minutes or 1 hour sometimes help.

Worst experience of my life! I could have died in their Emergency Room and if Freeman Hospital wasn't so close I probably would have! My husband and I both informed their Nurse Practitioner, who in my opinion should not be working in the ER if she cannot familiarize herself with uncommon conditions and won't slow down long enough to research them or just ask what they are, she treated me as if I didn't have said condition, causing a severe allergic reaction that put me in the hospital for 8 days. She also blatantly lied about what was shown on my X-ray at the time.
