My mom, who has dementia, was brought in to this horrible facility this morning via ambulance after a fall at her nursing home. Covered in blood, my fater asked if they could clean up her wounds while waiting to have a cat scan. Nope, not unless she is admitted was the reply. Really? Then 6 hours later they send her home as she does not have a concussion. So they send her to the car in her bloody nightgown, dried blood on her face and no socks/booties or even a blanket, just a thin sheet. Couldnt even give her booties and a blanket?? Seriously? Im pretty sure the tremendous bill they will send out for these 6 hours would more than cover it. Real classy Mercy. Taking my mom to Methodist from now on.
Every doctor I encountered was super nice to me. Even the woman stocking the room asked if I needed anything. I was told I hope you feel better soon by woman who took my CT scan. It wasnt just a statement it was genuine. May sound cheesy but it made me feel very at ease even if it was going to be a serious outcome for me. I appreciated their help and would definitely visit again with any other issues. Thanks to these people for helping people and having compassion.
I had the privilege of learning as an RN student at this campus. Although I had one bad experience with a nurse treating me poorly, the vast majority of the staff I encountered were kind, compassionate, competent professionals. Thank you for an awesome clinical experience.
This place is phenomenal and would take any of my LOVED ones back over and over again!! Absolutely LOVE the staff! They treated us so wonderful, with love and utmost respect. Of we had concerns, questions or anything they were there to help and answer them!! Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts Mercy Medical Staff!! Much love and respect!!
The actual care by Dr Harrison and his immediate staff is great. He called me personally to discuss a concern the after a further test he called me with good news so I could be relieved over a long weekend. However dealing with a two week wait to get a test schedule and other support staff issues regards prescriptions is a common complaint I have heard from others. I recently contacted Mercy with a concern and they did not follow up.
