feedback about Mercy Medical Center of Oshkosh
I am very disappointed. The doctor's avoid your questions regarding treatment (the sign in the room says they're listening) and then when this doctor is challenged, his response is "well, whatever". You got 2 stars because the person in surgery lived.
I have had all good results when dealing with the ER Department and staff every time I had to use the faculty. Also have had the pleasure in dealing with the wonderful Staff of the Xray/Lab Dept, MRI/CT SCANNING, Sleep Lab ECT. Wonderful staff and beautiful Facility. Prefer over Aurora Hospital. I would recommend to family/friends. 4 stars.
I had to go to the emergency room on December 28th for a severe migraine. They gave me benadryl, and reglan, but absolutely nothing to actually treat the migraine pain.
I ended going into anaphylaxis from the reglan so they proceeded to give me pepcid and solumedrol, had me wait an hour to make sure that I was ok, and sent me home.
I was still suffering from the migraine, had no relief and they put it down in my records as "headache" not migraine.
As someone who has been there before for migraines I felt like I was treated like my pain wasn't treated or even acknowledged.
My experience, including ER, hospitalization, and associated aftercare, was the best hospital experience I have had— but it I mean this in context. There is so much that needs to change in our health care/hospital care! One the Mercy’s best qualities, from my perspective, is their willingness to take constructive criticism. In my experience, my efforts to advocate for myself —to speak up, and get questions answered, was met with respect and a willingness to listen and respond. A rare thing to encounter!
Eva K is a mean, rude, disrespectful, unprofessional nurse. She should be fired for treating patients in an uncaring manner. She could care less about the patients she tends to. My father was there recovering from a quadruple bypass surgery. She had words with my father and said "if you don't like it, leave!" My father did leave because of her, and went into cardiac arrest 12 hours later and almost died. We later found out he had a fatal infection in his blood stream called Sepsis that almost killed him. She and the staff ignored all the warning signs and symptoms. Then Eva K stood there and smiled and wave to my father as sarcastically as she possibly could while he was being pushed out in a wheelchair. Eva K should NOT be in the nursing field. I hope Mercy hospital lets her go before she ruines more lives.
