My experience, including ER, hospitalization, and associated aftercare, was the best hospital experience I have had— but it I mean this in context. There is so much that needs to change in our health care/hospital care! One the Mercy’s best qualities, from my perspective, is their willingness to take constructive criticism. In my experience, my efforts to advocate for myself —to speak up, and get questions answered, was met with respect and a willingness to listen and respond. A rare thing to encounter!

Came in to get my toe stiched, got my foot numbed. Proceed with the surgery, doctor stiched half way left for a half hour. Had another doctor came in to finish the stiches. As my boyfriend told me there was one person waiting in the waiting room. Waited there for another hour, and now my toes isn’t numb then a nurse came to clean it up, pressing hard on the stiches crying to tell the hurts and to stop, and he told me it’s need to be clean and continue to press hard and then rushing to take my heart pressure off my finger and then hit me on my lip leaving my lip swollen. Told him I need to talk to the doctor crying, and then doctor told me when I first got there need to be off my foot for a couples day and then her releasing me to go back to work the next day, as my job deal with working with dogs At a boarding kennel and getting pulled by dogs all day and saying I had no restriction. Was so traumatized, crying and leaving without grabbing my discharge sheet. I would never go back there and highly recommend not to go there when you need the care you need to be a safe comfortable environment.

Eva K is a mean, rude, disrespectful, unprofessional nurse. She should be fired for treating patients in an uncaring manner. She could care less about the patients she tends to. My father was there recovering from a quadruple bypass surgery. She had words with my father and said "if you don't like it, leave!" My father did leave because of her, and went into cardiac arrest 12 hours later and almost died. We later found out he had a fatal infection in his blood stream called Sepsis that almost killed him. She and the staff ignored all the warning signs and symptoms. Then Eva K stood there and smiled and wave to my father as sarcastically as she possibly could while he was being pushed out in a wheelchair. Eva K should NOT be in the nursing field. I hope Mercy hospital lets her go before she ruines more lives.

I would love to give this review 5 stars because of my experience in the obgyn office. But I cannot.
Dr. G is amazing, smart and very helpful, and the nurses and receptionists were very kind, but the lab and xray receptionists were very rude, and not welcoming. It took over 20 minutes just to get called to do my labs, and there was only one person ahead of me. If i didn't have to do labs ever again, I'd be thankful sadly.

So a few days ago I walk in there with severe upper left stomach pain. As always they treat you like some type of addict or whatever who knows and give me lidocaine and shoo me out the door. Mind you I was waiting like 40 mins to be seen. I very irritated drive all the way to the VA hospital and got what was going on sorted out come to find out the pain I had that the doctor never checked in the first place was legitimate and I am now having to schedule an appointment with Gastro. This isn’t the first time either I went in there one time after surgery my hand was swollen and painful again they think because maybe I’m black who knows that you want drugs. I told them I’m already prescribed Oxycodone and that isn’t why I’m here it’s not working I’m in pain. They shoo me out the door again. The pain gets to become to much the swelling not going down I rush back to the Milwaukee VA and low and behold I have an infection from my surgery. I’m don’t dealing with them I told my wife the last time I was there if im dying let me die I will never step foot into that hospital again. They’re pompous and arrogant they don’t listen to patients and they don’t care. THANK YOU MILWAUKEE VA FOR CARING ABOUT VETERANS ISSUES AND HELPING ME WITH MY STOMACH ISSUES!
