I am very disappointed in this hospital. My son is 20 years old and went to the ER by himself on 1/17/18 because I was out of town and he was hurting. We have been living in Vicksburg for 10 years and don't use any of the clinics or hospital in Vicksburg. He was in so much pain and I told him to go on to the closest ER. I'm no doctor but I told him its possible he could have a kidney infection since the left side of his lower back was hurting. They had him to urinate in a cup but never comes back in the room to get it and check it. They did an X-ray on his back and comes back to tell him he has scoliosis. He's released from the hospital with 2 prescriptions and information on back pain but not scoliosis. How do you tell a person something like that and don't even explain to a young adult what is scoliosis. Now my son is at home scared to death that he won't be normal again. I will never ever use the services for my family at River Region Hospital or any other facilities in the Vicksburg area.

I arrived via ambulance in February 2014 for extreme back pain. I was not examined. I was told to simply "stand up and go home". I could barely move. I fell to the floor. I was screaming at one point. Well, lucky me. They brought me a wheelchair to help me leave. To this day, I suffer from reoccurring pain. It's almost 2018. They are lucky I was naive. I would have sued. I'm off work today because my back acted up again. I spent thanksgiving away from my family. But at least I was in a decent hospital. I can not describe in words how appalled I am at the care I recieved, however, in this "hospital".

I had an appointment made three weeks prior to the date. Told me the day before my appointment that my insurance wouldn't cover the services and cancelled it on their own behalf. Couldn't get in contact with anyone at the hospital after the fact to even confirm this. Horrible customer service and compassion.

They just want to get you in and out without caring if your taken care of. My wife has something pinching a nerve down her leg, and all they want to do is push her out the door.
