feedback about Methodist Richardson Medical Center
I've been here for several days due to a family member experiencing an emergency. The hospital and amenities are very clean, and unexpectedly stylish. This is the first hospital I've been to where I could easily navigate without getting lost, asking for directions multiple times, etc. I ate at the bistro once and was surprised by the variety of food options, though the service was a bit inefficient the staff were at least nice and my food was good. Most importantly, the staff at the ER and in the hospital room have been attentive and acceptably courteous, plus two employees stood out as being exceptionally caring, which my family really appreciated.
My son had a boil in a bad location and was seen by a Hispanic doctor that was the bomb! A great doc! Very painful to hear my son screaming in pain which reminded me of his 10 years in the Middle East. But Doc took great care to take care of him and I couldn’t have asked for more. Nurses were great too! However, the elderly lady out front needs to adjust her attitude. Maybe just having a bad day. I myself was in the ER here and transferred to a room. Excellent hospital, and for a while, was our “hidden secret” in Garland to go to Richardson Methodist where the waiting time is short with great personnel.Id recommend this hospital again and again to everyone who needs a great hospital!
I only visit this ER being that it's the closets to my house. I've visited on several occasions and all has been the same. Me having to drive to Baylor Dallas as I'm doing on this rainy night. Well morning 3am. It's just a money machine, unesassary diagnostic testing, ran down, tired staff and Doctors. Medicine prescribed will not work. Just give you anything to get you out their bed. I would never go back to this hospital for anything. Take the drive Richardson, Plano & Garland Residents. On to Baylor I go.
HORRIBLE HOSPITAL. My father had passed away and upon my arrival I was racing to get to his room. As I was rushing to his room, one of the nurses stated, "Why are you running? Its not like he is going anywhere. They didn't they tell you? He's dead." Her words and her cold attitude will forever be ingrained in my mind. My father's death was unexpected and I was completely devastated. No empathy or sympathy. KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES FAR AWAY.
Don’t go to the emergency room if you’re dying. You’ll most likely die from the wait!
