Great customer service! Derek in admin and the staff in the Emergency department are amazing! Everyone I spoke with the other day was extremely helpful! He went above and beyond helping me submit and update my paperwork! I want to give a thanks to Derek, the gentleman at the front desk, the young lady at the front desk to the gold team, and the security guard on duty (who showed me to the location of gold team)! You all are awesome! Thank you for everything you do!

Great place. I go here for my general health checkups and it is always a good experience. Recently I went to the ER here with a pretty bad cut and they went up and beyond to make sure I had no permanent damage. I have been to Baptist and Jackson and it always feels rushed and like they just want you out. This place was a different experience completely. My only minor complaint is what a few others mention in their comments that the pharmacy leaves a little to be desired. I don't think it is necessarily bad, but compared to the service you get in the rest of the VA, it's not quite up to par.

Doctors are great and service is great. Most people who work here really want to try to help veterans get in and out of here. Everything great, except the pharmacy... If possible find a way to get your medication filled outside the VA. You’ll wait upwards of 2 to 3 hours for medication and it times you will also wait those two hours just to find out your medication was never filled in the first place. Not a one time thing either... this will be EVERY time you fill meds. So disappointing...Leaving this review because I ended up missing a flight to Bahamas after waiting 3 1/2 hours for medication.

A BIG UPs to the VA ER team on the night I visited (my visit was on 23Jun19 around 8p. I was welcomed by an extremely helpful young man as I entered the emergency room, he was very nice (wish I knew his name, but I remembered, he had a slight airfro). Erica (Sunshine) "good mornin" was amazing she was very nice and pleasant. Anna RN,  Dr. E. Pulg (Critical Care), Christian H and one other guy sorry...you know who you are were wonderful I making sure I received the care I was seeking. I forgot/lost my meds during my travels to the Miami area on the way on a cruise. I was going to be away from home for a week. I quickly found the closest VA to the hotel I was staying and visited for what I thought would be a dreaded visit, but it was nothing even close to what I received. Everyone took care of me procedurally with the best of care. Being a sister VA (John D. Dingell) employee/veteran I was treated with the best of care and respect. My visit was quick and effective, I got the care I came for and now I can enjoy my vacation without the worry of having a possible health scare, thank you VAMC Miami from #johnddingell #detroit #whereveteranscomefirst #vamcmiami

I have been treated with great respect and care here. Every specialist, or doctor I have been treated by has been completely professional, compassionate and took lots of time explaining my healthcare. The respect they have shown, makes me even prouder to have served.
