I am a student at Platteville. Because I am from Illinois, at the time all of the Wisconsin hospitals would not prescribe antibiotics because my insurance would not cover it. So I had to drive an hour out of my way to this hospital, and the previous Wisconsin hospital called this one ahead of time to make sure they were open, and let them know what was going on. When I got here though, they looked me over and told me there was nothing wrong with me. They would not prescribe anything and told me to go back to Wisconsin. It was not until 3 months later when I had a bacterial infection in my throat and got a nasal viral infection when I had to go all the way back home to my doctor to get the antibiotics I desperately needed as well as other medicine. Because of this hospitals clear failure to care for its patients I have permanent irregularities in my throat, and when I get sick now the back of my throat gets bumps as well as the tonsils getting more messed up. This is a terrible hospital to go to for any reason. They will charge for the standard stuff and not help at all.

By far the best experience I’ve ever had with an emergency room. While I would never wish an emergency visit upon anyone, if it does happen, this is the place to be. In and out with broken ribs after x-rays and a very helpful and knowledgeable staff within 45 minutes of checking in. Could not be more satisfied with my visit. If only this were my hospital in my hometown! A nurse called a couple days later just to check in and see how I was feeling, such a friendly environment. Everybody working there almost makes you forget you’re in the ER!

Worst uncaring drs in the area booboo station is what i call it did not even examine me at all told me i was fat and needed to go on a diet!!! yes i am over weight but my care should not be any different than anyone elses and he had an attitude when i asked for a drs note i would rather die than go back to that non caring rude hospital

Worst hospital ive ever been too. No psych services at all. The doctors honestly dont seem like they know what there doing for there patients. I have several health issues myself. I travel to the Quad Cities or Dubuque for my care. I dont know whos giving them 5 stars, maybe there made up reviews. But ive never got any results or help the few times ive been here. The staff is friendly and listens, but i feel like its a bandaide station where they can only treat cuts and bruises or basic .Coughs. Good luck.
