I have excellent insurance, but it does not matter they charge you excessive costs before a surgery. And they always overcharge. It was outrageous that they wanted 4890.00 plus the doctor’s 851.00 upfront for Dr. Picou’ surgery. I will get. A different doctor and hospital. Plus they are getting 29,000.00 from my insurance Aetna also. It’s ludicrous. Stay away from these predators.

On September 15, 2019 around 3:30am we took our daughter to Mission Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for possible whooping cough. Facility is incredibly dirty and staff (PA Dominiciano Espinosa and Nurse Evelyn S.) were extremely rude and unprofessional they were yelling at both my 3 year old daughter and at my wife and kept telling my wife that was the only way our 3 year old was going to understand. Our 3 yr old was having an episode of the cough while this was going on and both PA and Nurse just kept yelling more it was not until my wife started yelling back at the staff that they stopped yelling at them. Another staff member as well was asked by the nurse to help to administer a shot was also rude and acted like it was an inconvenience for him to assist the nurse because he was being interrupted on checking his Facebook on his cell phone. In room 7 of the ER the floor was extremely dirty and staff left gloves used by them next to the trash can on the floor.

The nurses were really rude to one of the patients she having a baby and she wants to have it normal but they kept telling her to have a C-section even her own doctor tht she sees said the same thing and that if the baby didn't come out that it's was going to come out retarded and other things as well and the doctor left really mad and didn't say by or nothing What is wrong with people these days. I think that's very unprofessional of nurses and doctors to tell a patient that she needs a C-section if it's not necessaryyy!!!!

My baby is in NICU and my experience at this hospital has been much better than DHR. Labor and delivery was great, they immediately took care of baby and situated him. 100% recommended.
