So let me tell everyone that might be thinking of using any of the Auburn Multicare facilities to THINK OTHERWISE. It's a GIANT PAIN IN THE BUTT to get them to do anything for billing, service or just... My doctors had a lot difficulties in getting results from them in order to further my care. I have been chasing them around in circles to get my paid amount to them sent to insurance in order to get my overpaid money returned. Saying can't find it, no clue, will call you back. Ahhhh NO. Never a call back. DON'T DO IT. You've been warned.
In April of 2018 I had to bring my 12 year old daughter to this ER for a severe emergency. The entire staff was compassionate and efficient. I was nearly in shock too, and they were kind and helped by explaining things to me on a level I could understand. They ran tests and got her stabilized. Based on the situation, she ended up needing to go to Children's Hospital in Tacoma. The ambulance crew took very good care of her and again, were delicate based on the situation. EDIT TO ADD: I ended up going to the ER a couple weeks ago (Feb 2019) I had to have my appendix removed asap. I was there in the hospital for 2 days. All went very well and I still recommend this ER/ hospital.
We just delivered a baby here. We received the needed care, though experienced many troubling issues. We experienced constant interruptions during needed rest, staff showing inexperience during basic procures, irritation at a crying newborn, and long delays. Patient care and experience seems at the bottom of the list of concerns for this hospital and its management. Many other things preclude the steps the hospital and its departments could take to provide good care including their liabilities, policies and procedures, shift changes, technologies and communications. Clearly a top-heavy, bloated, complicated bureaucracy with no clear path to accountability to patients.
