Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital

My mother was taken by ambulance to Grayling hospital after complaining of shortness of breath. The staff that treated her in the emergency room were wonderful. They were very caring, gentle with my mother who is almost 90 and very thorough in their diagnoses. She was admitted to the hospital She was kept there for five days and dealt with many staff members. Most of them were top notch. Before releasing her she met with the staff that explained her follow-up care and they offered suggestions and resources And answered all of our many questions ! We feel very fortunate to have Grayling Hospital available to us Michelle and Gloria

I had stepped on a toothpick that became embedded in my foot. When I explained to the doctor where it was and that I couldn't get it out at home, he told me he didn't see anything and that it was probably a wart. I explained to him that I was certain it was a toothpick and I saw the other half of it at home. He told me that he still didn't see anything and to stay off it. The nurse working told me to try and put duct tape over the "wart", to help get rid of it. This was an old army trick he knew. I figured why not, as my foot was still in excruciating pain and couldn't be walked on. So after a night with duct tape on my "wart" the skin was finally soft enough to pull the toothpick, which was the ACTUAL problem, out. What a joke the whole experience was, I was treated like I was a burden and couldn't possibly know what was wrong.

Great Hospital! Love having a Surgical Unit so close to home! Great staff! Better experience than I thought. Very apprehensive about surgery but once my wife and I came up to the surgical waiting room with Kay, she made us feel at home. Then the Anesthesiologist and Dr. Cvickovich came in and explained my surgery. Darla and the whole entire surgical team were outstanding! Just took my Mom in to Munson in Traverse City for same surgery I had, and felt the little town atmosphere and Grayling should feel lucky they have such a great place here. Especially having a surgeon like Dr. C. Even received a get well card today hand signed by everyone. Could not ask for better health care! Thank you Grayling Surgical Staff, really the best!

Came in today thinking boyfriend broke a rib. Sat in waiting room for 2 hours. During They took him back for X-rays. When the guy finally came out he called 4 of us back. One was a little old lady that had been there before us. She was struggling to get up. The man said in an annoyed tone. ”ya need help?” The lady said “no”. He then said “well come on then.” We were herded in like cattle. We never saw X-ray and NP Bruce was QUICK to prescribe Norco. However, our nurse Sarah was awesome, very friendly .

Received excellent care even though I was a difficult patient. The food was outstanding
