feedback about Munson Medical Center
layed out very well to navigate around. food in the cafeteria is great for a hospital. i love the grilled cheese. and prices are reasonable. Rachel on floor D5 is a fantastic nurse! kudos to Munson. like the new patient parking garage. too. security when you walk in at front and metal detector and security when you come in the ER.
If I could leave no stars I would.
I went to the ER with severe abdominal pain. Like can barely walk, vomiting from the pain severe.
They did an ultrasound of my uterus. Told me nothing was wrong and to follow up with my general doctor. As soon as I got outside I vomited. All over. My doctor cant see me for another week.
I really hope I dont die while I wait.
Waited 6 hours, 2 of which was just on discharge papers after being told it should be ready in a half hour, had issues with billing telling me they tried pulling from my account but never did then pulled double the next month the proceeded to tell me it did pull due to a lack of funds which in that case why did it pull $100 if i only had about $20 in my account. Don't get the auto pay, don't set up a billing plan. Its been nothing but lies and stress for me that i really don't need. I would definitely seek a non munson owned hospital after all my experiences which is a pretty sad number of 3. I would love to talk to the head of billing about these issues and that blaming the computer program that they are using is like blaming an electrical outlet for shocking yourself when you stuck the fork in the outlet.
After spending a night at Munson Hospital in Traverse City, MI for observation I talked on the phone with a high-level administrator about my disappointing experience as a patient. In my conversation I said 1/3 of the people I interacted with were very good, and 2/3rds were average or bad. The hospital administrator was satisfied with having 1/3 of the professional staff being ranked as "good" and the rest falling behind. That's the way it goes. However, at my extended stay at the UofM medical center, 100% of the professional staff were excellent. Munson seems satisfied with being mediocre or worse. Certainly not a hospital I would choose to go to in the future. David
I've never seen such crappy care. Or that fact that they are all about money, they don't really care about you. Don't judge a book by it's cover. The outside appearance is nice, but ends there.
