feedback about New York Methodist Hospital
Good hospital. Got face lacerations requiring stitches. Short lines and I was processed almost immediately. Nice staff. They did a good job on my stitches. Highly recommend going here if you are in an emergency.
I had to bring my newborn (24 day old) child to their pediatric emergency unit. The staff, nurses, residents, and doctors were all great. Thank you Methodist.
Would give them a zero but then I would not be able to submit a review. They did not take my mother out of the bed for the 10-day stay and said she couldn't sit up in a whee;chair. They NEVER asked me if she could, which she could and had been daily at home, on small trips to the beach, and around the neighborhood. Kept lying to me and would not discharge her as they ran up her Medicare bill for almost an extra as I watched my mom deteriorate daily because they did NOTHING to keep her moving. Finally called Medicare, Ombudsman, etc. Patient Relations helped me but everyone else lied to protect the doctor. This used to be a good hospital, but I will NEVER take my mom there again.
Injured while under anesthesia for routine procedure in 2019 (head injury). I complained to doctor and hospital staff/patient services about this incident but does not look to have helped to avoid other patients suffering such as I did or compensate me for injury. I would not recommend the NY Methodist hospital staff level of care while under anesthesia at this hospital. I suggest to avoid being put under anesthesia and stay conscious if possible for your procedure at this hospital.
Thiat’s Happens To My Brother Somebody Do It Something: ( I Angel Rodriguez and I, have to say something about this Medicaid plan, one of the worst bad is healthfirst, they promised you how good they are. If you are going to a sergury, and then to rehab. They won't pay. After the sergury the hospital send you home. The hospital in Brooklyn and the healthfirst treat you like animal. They give you hart time for transportation, eve is your doctor fax those parper, the insurance would told you that they never got it. Don't make that mistake like me. Always look for good insurance not healfirst)
