feedback about New York Methodist Hospital
Would give them a zero but then I would not be able to submit a review. They did not take my mother out of the bed for the 10-day stay and said she couldn't sit up in a whee;chair. They NEVER asked me if she could, which she could and had been daily at home, on small trips to the beach, and around the neighborhood. Kept lying to me and would not discharge her as they ran up her Medicare bill for almost an extra as I watched my mom deteriorate daily because they did NOTHING to keep her moving. Finally called Medicare, Ombudsman, etc. Patient Relations helped me but everyone else lied to protect the doctor. This used to be a good hospital, but I will NEVER take my mom there again.
Injured while under anesthesia for routine procedure in 2019 (head injury). I complained to doctor and hospital staff/patient services about this incident but does not look to have helped to avoid other patients suffering such as I did or compensate me for injury. I would not recommend the NY Methodist hospital staff level of care while under anesthesia at this hospital. I suggest to avoid being put under anesthesia and stay conscious if possible for your procedure at this hospital.
I've heard so much good things about this hospital and I haven't been here. Just want to thank the staff Nurses, and Doctor for doing such an awesome and amazing job in taking care of their patients. I would be honored to stay here. I will definitely be looking forward to staying here when that time comes to have my baby. God bless you all for giving and sharing such compassion for your patient just as God would do as if he was here. Thank you all so much.
Thank YOU for saving my life! During this summer time I faced a very difficult life threatening situation. After several hospitals I ended up in the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I met nurturing and professional staff who cared about me on a personal level, Dr. Kozlovsky and Dr. Trakhtenberg, nurses. I may not remember everyones names, but everyone in Unit 8, has cared for me like their own relative. I remember nurse Sergei, and I am grateful to him. The meal staff cared about whether I ate and enjoyed their food. Other specialists did their job in the best possible way. Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
Hospital is good but sometimes it's so crowded and busy..The drs do they're best to see you and get you out. Seems like they are understaffed.
