Entered the ER with an extreme PTSD flare up that had me on the verge of a complete breakdown. Non-violent, not suicidal. Left with a brand new highly traumatic event and a whole new set of triggers to deal with, in far worse shape than when I entered. Completely dehumanizing experience. Thoroughly dehumanizing. Unsafe for someone with my condition in every conceivable way. Felt threatened and abandoned, treated as if I were criminal, stripped of free will, a monkey behind the glass at the zoo. So unsafe I can't genuinely quantify it. Never, ever, ever again will I seek help, at this or any other facility, for my condition due to this experience. Never again, and I've never been more certain of anything in my life.
And, for the record, the lady who came into my "jail" for registration was completely horrible and unsafe, opening the door and yelling "SECURITY!" down the hall because I didn't want to talk to her, as if security would run in and beat whatever answers out of me.
care and personal so far have great, now, MY GOD, streamline that patient registration process. I've been sitting here 25 minutes to get a blood draw, with the same people sitting in the same room still (to register I mean). I should note I think it may be an SOP problem. Everyone was very nice. I was very sick, so a 'bit' touchy
This hospital is fantastic as far as patient care goes. Nurses and staff are very caring. No problems there. My only concern with this hospital is that with ANY procedure that requires an admission or registration many questions are repeatedly asked that should "be" in the system, also if you come into the ER for anything and then get admitted, the information collected by the ER doesn't transfer to the rest of the hospital and A LOT of information has to be re-asked and reentered. This takes up a lot of unnecessary time.
I had a hysterectomy on the 21st of March and I have to brag on two of my nurse's. Rosa was my overnight nurse and she was amazing. She explain everything to me and what she was doing. Great bedside manor!!! You Rock!!! Amanda was my other one. I didn't have much contact with her because I was still sedated after surgery, but Thank you for making my husband comfortable while he was there waiting for me to come to. You are very sweet an we both greatly appreciate everything you both did for us! May God continue to bless you both!!!!
This morning the ambulance came to my house and brought her to the hospital. I would like to thank all the nice paramedics and nurses who helped take care of my mom. They do a good job and they do not discriminate anyone. I heard many people say they are rude and that they discriminate Hispanics but that is not true. They are all nice!!!!
