Had outpatient surgery with Dr. Marberry yesterday and everything was great! All the staff I encountered were nice and explained what they were doing as they did it. My nurse I believe Jenny made everything so enjoyable. She joked and talked with me throughout the day and was very accommodating! Thank you to everyone for making my experience great!
Ive had 1 bad experience in the E.R. with my infant. But outside of that I've had 4 C-sections here and the nurses are outstanding and i don't have a single complaint about the OB floor! I recommend NRMC for outpatient surgery and the OB floor but after the aweful E.R. experience i had i wouldn't suggest taking an infant there. I don't blame anyone i just feel the E.R. isnt very equipped when it comes to emergency infant care.
Absolute worst experience. Went in for appendicitis and went to schedule the appendectomy. The surgeon WALKED OUT of the room and refused to do the surgery because my mom wanted to talk to him about the surgery before I had it (which is a good idea since it only has 2 stars). It was the weekend so I had no other choice but to go to a different hospital or beg the surgeon to come back and help. Since no other hospital would approve a transfer, I had to leave AMA and drive to another hospital. I still got charged for 2 ER visits (and NERMC was higher). Very unprofessional and I do not recommend anyone to go to this hospital. If you can make it ANYWHERE else, do so. And absolutely do not let Dr. Danks help you. He acts like a child when you question the best options for your surgery.
I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack. The nurses and doctors there were very efficient and quickly responded to my problem. After running some tests they found out it wasn’t my heart, but instead a hiatal hernia which was putting pressure under my heart. I am now under a doctors care to solve the hernia problem. Well done Northeast Regional! So glad to have a great hospital in our hometown!
Their staff isn't trained or qualified to take care of people with mental health issues. I had several nurses be incredibly rude to me because I was in for a suicide attempt. I spent about 20 hours in the emergency room before I was transferred to another hospital with a psych ward. This wasn't their fault. But the 20 hours I spent in the emergency room cost nearly twice as much as the week I spent in a psych ward, with insurance. One nurse made me wear ripped scrubs. One treated me like a lesser citizen due to the nature of my visit. She was going to just let me go. I had to nearly beg to be sent to psych ward because I knew it would happen again if they let me go. When my friend was taken to the ER by ambulance, the doctor flat out told her what was going and talked about her medical information with me in the room and without even asking her consent. Overall, way too expensive, mostly rude nurses, etc. Sadly, this is the only option for an emergency room that's close.
