feedback about Northwest Hospital
Hands down the worst mental health system and staff I've ever had the displeasure of associating with.
On top of having literally 0 social workers on staff, I was checked in at 12:30pm and told to wait for a case worker before I could leave. Not only were nurses and staff reluctant to tell me when I would possibly be seeing the case worker, when they finally gave me a time (11:00pm) I had been confined in their room for over 9hours. Then when the time came, the case worked still did not show up at the intended time. Promising that they always get there within 6 hours of a call. WHAT A FUCKING JOKE.
On top of having no bedside manner, the staff seem not at all interested in getting me help. Granted I understand medical emergencies should be their focus, I dont think they should parade around a fake facade of "helping" those with mental health issues. When in reality they stick them in a room and say "someone will be with you shortly" for 12hours.
You know what makes someone suicidal? Holding them in a room against their will for 12 hours with no end in sight.
However, for normal medical emergencies, I've had mostly positive experiences. This stands out as a big blemish though.
Brought my wife here for care due to life threatening illness. Instead security assaulted me and mocked my sick wife. Jacob A. Clark of the security department likes to mock severely ill women and put hands on their husbands when called out about it.
Felt that entire experience at NW Hospital was good. Everyone I came in contact with really seemed to care for you and did their job well. No problems with facilities - yes, I would recommend it.
I went in for hip replacement recently and could not believe the quality of care and the professionalism of every one I came in contact. I walked out 24 hours later and I see a rapid recovery.
Theres a cute little night nurse named whitney that made sure I didnt cry too much after I got my shots
