My elderly mother was admitted to the ER today from her dialysis treatment with chest pains. Spoke with Gayla, nurse in the ER, to check on her and she wouldn't give me ANY information saying she didn't know who I was even though I explained I am her son. NEVER had an issue before, as my mother has been to this ER before. She was real short with me at best! How would you like it if someone wouldn't give any information when a loved one has been admitted the the ER!

They admitted my 20-year-old son to the hospital. However, they left them in the hallway overnight with a curtain divider and called that his room. It angers me that they leave my son in the hall overnight especially considering the amount of money we pay for their services. It used to be a good hospital but it seems with the expansion they have gone downhill.

My grand daughter gave birth to her baby there on 9/20/19, she was scheduled for 8:00 a.m. emergency came up and they re-scheduled for 1:00 p.m. another "emergency" came up and she had to wait again, that's all fine emergencies happen, they finally took her in around 3:30, she delivered at 4:07. they said she would be in recovery until 7:00 p.m. so we visited with the baby and father for awhile, we had driven 250 miles to be there but we felt we needed to head home soon, one of the nurses came and told us our granddaughter was sitting up doing fine and wanted to see us before we left, so we could go down the hall, stay in the hallway and say a couple of words to her from the door before we left, an that's what we were doing when all of a sudden here came the "head" nurse down the hall screaming you cant be there, so we started back 2 doors up to where we had been with the father and baby, and she said don't go in there your visiting hours are over, get out of here, so we went back to the large section, and sat for a couple of minutes, then here came a security person out from L&D and looked at us didn't say anything and went back in, I told my husband to call the father and tell him we were just going to leave and go home, as we didn't want any problems. We still don't know what we did as grand parents have open visiting, everything up till then was alright but I can not give a better rating when you have someone as unstable as that nurse working for you, also I will pray for her that she gets the help she so badly needs. It was all very embarrrassing.

Lake Forest Hospital is an excellent hospital. My 95 year old mother was recently there for 4 days and I was extremely impressed with the doctor, the nurses, and the rest of the staff. It has the most modern equipment available and the staff are extremely attentive. My mother actually said she missed the hospital after she left and when she first arrived, she was not happy at all about being there.

Never had an issue here. The Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Lake Forest is incredibly clean, lots of very friendly staff and the doctors are very friendly as well. It’s a nice change from driving to the downtown Chicago location, which is a pain, due to traffic and parking. I got very tired of parking on Barb, when I always tried for Frank (ones aware of the garage off Superior will get it). Really like going to this location.
