I had outpatient surgery at this location and every single person I came into contact with was amazing and dedicated to making sure I was taken care of. I was there to be treated for a miscarriage and was having a really hard day. Admittedly, not putting my best foot forward, but that didn't stop the staff from putting theirs forward. I felt cared for, and important to each person I interacted with. From check in, to surgery waiting and into post op. My doctor was of course also amazing, but I knew that going in. I was blown away the genuine concern of the hospital staff. I wish I would have had the presence of mind to take down their names, since I can't remember them and they all deserve recognition for a job well done.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I came into the ER Thursday February 7th around 11:30 p.m. very sick I ended up having the flu pneumonia and strep throat. The doctor was wonderful and the triage nurse as well. But something needs to be done about people as sick as I was that can't sit up I was literally passing out in the double seats I took my shoes off and had my socks on and the cop came and made me put my feet down and me and my husband trued to explain but he would not listen I give the two stars because the wait was over 7 hours long and I realize they were very busy but they've got to do something for really ill patients that can't sit for that long they need to have an area where they can go at least lay down something anything and other people got blankets but I wouldn't get any until I went back and got my x-rays they wouldn't give me one the triage nurse finally did because I couldn't get warm I was just very upset with how I was treated but I do appreciate the doctor and the triage nurse they were very kind and they helped me.

Emergency Room staff is out of control- no one working together! I had to beg them to give my 92 year old mother a blanket for an hour and finally I had to demand one and finally got one!
The bathrooms were filthy the facility was not clean!!! The male nurse made us wait an extra hour before he would remove her IV because he needed an ego boost or something. I even overheard a staff member state to another that there was NO TEAM WORK in there and everyone was just doing what they felt like. She was on point! No organization no supervision. Chaos, bad attitudes, filth and neglect of an elderly patients needs are how I will describe Novant Emergency Room on Hawthorne Lane Charlotte NC. Do not bring elderly people or helpless people here for care they won’t get any!!!
Thinking about making a news report since I work at a studio. This is not a third world country and for the overpriced fortune they charge people for service I believe it’s not too much to ask for clean floors and restrooms!!! Even the ER room table was filthy. Is the cleaning staff angry or something!!?!?

There ICU unit wanting area is a total mess with no one checking the bath rooms to up keep them or the waiting area, half the vending machines don't work, your apparently not allowed to get blankets from the nurses in ICU, and the nurses in the ICU need educational class on how to properly treat family's of those in the ICU with compassion and care not attitude, and yes o get it's a job but to be loudly laughing at the nurses station and ignore those standing at the door claiming they didn't hear the bell to find 5 minutes later they are all standing there.... Ridiculous I have spent time in other hospitals in all different floors, but by far this hospital is the worst.
