I had the pleasure of having my eye surgery here and had the a great experience! I must of been in contact with at least 7 different nurses and Drs and hospital personal and everyone of them were so nice and helpful. I even left my ID and insurance card in the locker on accident and the staff found it and turned it into lost and found. Five stars!

The receptionist was coughing into her hands, the tech, although very personable, had me use a pen without washing my hands after collecting a specimen, staff were yelling through the office instead of walking down the hall to speak to someone, other patient information was easily overheard, and the doctor would not stop talking about other topics (Amazon, the bus system, the prices of housing). I had come in on my lunch break and was late getting back to work. You're a hospital, cleanliness should be #1 priority, #2 should be time management. I'm thankful this will not be my primary care facility.

I spent nearly fours at OVGH on Monday and the only medical personnel I saw was a triage nurse and the nurse assigned to my pit. I say pit, because they only put me in it to appease me since I was soup set. I spent an hour and a half in the pit, never saw the doctor, but it was dinner time, after all. In their defense they were busy, but when I walked out, several rooms were empty. I think it was a get even play because I had gotten so upset. Thank you for nothing.even when I told them I was having chest pains, I was told to have a seat. You’d be better off swimming the Ohio river over to AGH.

Worst hospital I’ve ever been, the nurses were so unfriendly and so are the doctors. Nobody ever came to straighten your bed, to help you go to the bathroom, I had no shower in there nothing, for two days I asked to get a washcloth to clean myself, yuk.
A lady doctor from India was the worst my god was she unfriendly early in the morning, send her back were she came from. One Orientale male doctor was very nice. How can someone get healthy when everyone is so unfriendly. Also there is no way to open a window to let some fresh air in, that’s very important for sick people to get fresh air. I went there sich and left the place in the same way. Never ever again would I go to Ohio Valley Hospital.

Now that Heritage Valley is taking over, hopefully Ohio Valley will turn into a respectable medical centre. As it stands now, if you have a scrape or bruise, perhaps a cold, yeah, they'll give you a band-aid for a few hundred, but anything more than that, the past two decades have been very difficult for OVGH. Again, hopefully Heritage Valley will turn this reputation around.
